"my pool vac ultra is one of many great products that hayward has to offer. the products they make are reliable last a long time and make your life easier because they do the job for you.my pool vac ultra is the best cleanner out there and i have tried some of the others. my pool is crystal clear. and i get alot of compliments from my freinds and family. i recommend the pool vac ultra and any other hayward pool product to anybody with a pool. you will never regret it......................."

Pros: Fast Mover - This thing is fast
Cons: Chokes on Leaves
"I've had this cleaner for about 4 years now, and I've replaced the "feet" twice, and the paddles on each side. It constantly gets stuck at the steps, which scratches various surfaces of the cleaner.
My biggest complaint is that leaves get stuck in the "throat" , and constantly requires me to pull clumps of leaves out to get the machine moving again. My house is surrounded by tall mature trees, and due to leaf production, this equipment just doesn't do the job at my location. Probably fine
where there are no large trees nearby."

Pros: Very efficient, climbs the walls, can disconnect from skimmer and leave "floating" in pool.

"Terrific cleaner, easy to use. It climbs the walls and does a great job on the sides and floor of my gunite pool. Hayward tech support the best around. Even out of warranty, they are absolutely the best company to do business with. I have used this cleaner for 4+ years. Once, under warranty, overnighted it to them, they completely rebuilt the unit, and paid for return shipping, all done within 5 days -- no charge. Out of warranty, they did the same - no charge! Works flawlessly. Occasionally, if big debris (rocks, tile grout flaking off), get caught inside, it's fairly easy to get this out. Need to check the "flippers", which occasionally either need to be replaced or re-attached. Otherwise, no complaints. I use it in conjunction with a leaf/debris catcher (separate item). The best thing about it is, there are no electrical cords to mess with, you can leave the unit and the hose floating in the pool when not in use....just disengage it from the skimmer and let it float!"
