Pros: price is reasonable but now I know why...I can't really think of anything positive
Cons: it doesn't clean the pool very well so who cares if its reasonably priced
"I was trying to save money buy purchasing this product...to replace the cleaner I had before would have cost me 1,000 dollars...but now I see why!
This product connects through the skimmer so while its working, you have no skimmer action. My experience is that when I remove the cleaner, the dirt that had been floating around drops to to the bottom and i'm back to a dirty bottom. I suppose if you have a port dedicated to this hose and you do not work it through the skimmer, it might be ok. But, I would not recommend it if you're like me and are viery picky about the bottom of the pool being very clean. This was the first year that little kids would tell me my pool was dirty...ugh!! Embarassing!!
Pay the money and buy a polaris or similar product."

Pros: None that I can identify as the product doesn't work well
Cons: Won't climb hopper sides; gets stuck on walls; easily deflected by return jets
"Requires meticulous effort to get air out of cleaner and hose, otherwise it is so lightweight it just floats. Easily deflected by return jets. Won't climb hopper side walls and rarely comes out of deep end. There are parts of my 30,000 gal pool it has not accessed in the two weeks since I put it into use. Doesn't remove residue as my 20 year old Kreepy Krauly does: merely vacuums up loose material. Hayward tech support has merely restated manual instructions and hasn't been any help. What a piece of junk from a well-known name in the business!"

"my pool vac ultra is one of many great products that hayward has to offer. the products they make are reliable last a long time and make your life easier because they do the job for you.my pool vac ultra is the best cleanner out there and i have tried some of the others. my pool is crystal clear. and i get alot of compliments from my freinds and family. i recommend the pool vac ultra and any other hayward pool product to anybody with a pool. you will never regret it......................."

Pros: Fast Mover - This thing is fast

"I've had this cleaner for about 4 years now, and I've replaced the "feet" twice, and the paddles on each side. It constantly gets stuck at the steps, which scratches various surfaces of the cleaner.
My biggest complaint is that leaves get stuck in the "throat" , and constantly requires me to pull clumps of leaves out to get the machine moving again. My house is surrounded by tall mature trees, and due to leaf production, this equipment just doesn't do the job at my location. Probably fine

Pros: Very efficient, climbs the walls, can disconnect from skimmer and leave "floating" in pool.
Cons: None I have found
"Terrific cleaner, easy to use. It climbs the walls and does a great job on the sides and floor of my gunite pool. Hayward tech support the best around. Even out of warranty, they are absolutely the best company to do business with. I have used this cleaner for 4+ years. Once, under warranty, overnighted it to them, they completely rebuilt the unit, and paid for return shipping, all done within 5 days -- no charge. Out of warranty, they did the same - no charge! Works flawlessly. Occasionally, if big debris (rocks, tile grout flaking off), get caught inside, it's fairly easy to get this out. Need to check the "flippers", which occasionally either need to be replaced or re-attached. Otherwise, no complaints. I use it in conjunction with a leaf/debris catcher (separate item). The best thing about it is, there are no electrical cords to mess with, you can leave the unit and the hose floating in the pool when not in use....just disengage it from the skimmer and let it float!"

Cons: One minor quibble: cleaning requires Phillips screwdriver to open the back -- which I never seem to have handy!
"My husband and I have been wanting an automatic pool cleaner for years, but couldn't afford the high cost of the 'Polaris" and similar electric-powered cleaners. Allan's brother told us about this one and we ordered it right away. It's absolutely great! Rather than having an electric motor to worry about, this unit plugs right into the skimmer like a manual vacuum and is hydraulically powered by the water moving through. It also has relatively few moving parts and all are fairly easily accessible.
For our 20' x 40' pool, it takes move like 3.5 to 4 hours to complete a cleaning job, but is worth the wait.There's a single door in the back of the unit that one opens to clean out fhe innards - takes only seconds. I wish, though, that the door had a locking mechanism that did not require a screwdriver (Phillips at that), because we don't normally keep a toolkit in the pool area -- but this is a very minor complaint about an otherwise excellent product."

"We have always received good service wehn we order from In the Swim. The delivery is fast and the tracking helps us calculate the arrival time.
This little cleaner works excellent. We have had one for almost five years and we gave this one to our son for his pool. It requires little or no maintanance and doss a sparkling job.
Don't hesitate to order from this company and the products are great."
