"Started using this product exclusively after having used the "store brand" for many years. This product is super concentrated, so you really use half of other products. Never have had problems with algae since using it. I've even gone over a month (forgetting) to add and I still had a clear pool all summer long. Never had any problems with foaming either...I'm sold on this product. Thanks"

Pros: Cost effective, Yellow algae gone forever. No more sweeping yellow algae off of pool walls
"Started using this product 3 years ago. Before then, I had bought several expensive type of algaecides, but they did very little to contol yellow and green algae. Since using this product, I have not had any algae problems at all. We live in Houston, Tx where the pool water can easily reach 90 degrees in the summer. This has been a great product and has save me countless hours of brushing yellow algae of of the pool walls. I was skecptical at first but not anymore."

"I thought when I bought this product, "How good can it really work?" I'm not skeptical anymore. I have had trouble with algae bloom since we got our pool. Because of the long, hot summers we have down here, it can get cloudy real quick. But not with this stuff! I finally got a handle on algae and have a sparkling pool to show for it!"

Cons: Does nothing to clear Green Algae, creates a great deal of bubbles and foam.
"Read the description carefully. This product is for yellow algae not Green Algae. I bought it to open my pool for the great price and good reviews but didn't realize it would not kill the green algae. It did turn my pool into a bubble bath. It has taken 3 weeks to get the foam out. If you have yellow algae, it may work well but it will probably still produce bubbles in your pool water."

"This is a copper based product. I used this product for a couple of years before i realized the problems it was causing. This will stain your liner and cause your stainless steel screws and bolts in your filter and pool to rust. Also ruins your gaskets. I have spent 4 weeks so far trying to get the copper out of my water. Spend the extra dollars for the algaecide 50 or 60 which are non-copper based. It will save you from having to rebuild the insides of your D.E. filter every 2-3- years which costs a small fortune. In The Swim has great products, but this is not one of them."
