"Fighting algae seems to be our biggest pool expense. I've always used to Chemicals available at our local pool store and mixed results. This year I opted to try Super Algaecide. Boy am I glad I did. Combined ' NO PHOS' we easily kept the algae at bay. Despite heavy rains we never saw a bloom! Treatment is effective overnight! Did I mention the price and no drive to get the product?"

Pros: does the job -- maintenance doses prevent the problem
Cons: when adding, if it splashes up on the sides of the pool you have to wash it off or it tends to stain.
"However, the stains, if they occur, are not really stains because sun and chlorinated water erase them in a few days. This is a good product. I note that one person had their hair turn green. I personally have never witnessed this effect and we have used the product for many years. Not denying it happened. Maybe they somehow got the product directly on their hair or swam before the 'blue cloud' had fully dispersed? Maybe it was just one of those things where the hair was super sensitive to the product.
I have occasionally, in many years of pool ownership, allowed my pool to develop an algae problem. In those cases, this product typically solves it. Sometimes, I have to buy something that acts in a different way to kill the algae I allowed to develop, but not often."

"This algaecide is just amazing. I've tried all the local brands and was never able to get through a full summer season without scraping green off the side of the pool. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong??? I started using this product about 6 years ago and haven't seen green in my pool since. This super duper algaecide is simply the right tool for the right job!!! It makes pool care sooooooo easy!!! I have not only recommended this stuff to some of my friends who installed pools, I've given a bottle as a gift along with the website address."

"I used it according to directions and within six hours of the pump running, the algae cleared out. I had mustard algae blooming on the steps. The steps are wide and in shallow water as expected, so the sun and water there is warmer than the rest of the pool water. I'd never had problems with algae before this year (fourth year of the pool's life) but we had an exceptionally hot summer."

"This is the best Algaecide I have ever used. Since I tried it, my pool has not had any algae in it, as long as I remember to add it to the pool. I love how concentrated it is, so it usually lasts me almost a whole summer. For the money, ounce for ounce against any other brand I have tried, your Super Algaecide is the best by far!!!!"

"I had been fighting the worst case of yellow algae that I have ever experienced. I purchased several products from the local pool store, but nothing was working. It seemed to go away, but was back the next day and this went on for a couple of weeks. I received an email from In The Swim that featured Super Algaecide and decided to order it. The product arrived quickly and with one treatment, my algae problem was gone! Super Algaecide saved my swim season and I plan on using it when I close the pool this season and again when I open for next season. Thanks for a great product!"
