Pros: creates a nice glow throughout the pool
Cons: No switch (35w), too thick for gap between rail and wall
"I got the 35w light since I wanted a nice warm glow rather than a bright spotlight effect. The 35w accomplishes this quite well in my 27' round pool. The light does NOT have a switch (From the manual -> "Plug light into GFI protected socket when light is needed in pool. To turn off unplug", but I compensated for that by using an outdoor timer, and removing all the pins but one 'off' pin at midnight just in case it's left on by mistake. One other problem is that it is too thick. If you have less than an inch between the wall top and the rail, it won't fit. I have mine in, but the rail is bowed. I haven't decided if I will keep it, and attempt to modify or exchange it for one that fits into the return jet."

Pros: easy to install
"I bought this about a month ago because my kids have been wanting to swim after dark, but were scared. I have an oval pool (16 x 32) and it offers plenty of lighting to swim in our otherwise dark backyard. Hopefully, it will continue to work without problems!"

"I am a new pool owner learning the ways of the water. I enjoy nice hot summer nights and wanted to swim during these times as well. This product does a fantastic job of lighting my pool. EASY to install! Seems durable although that remains to be seen. At the current clearance price I consider this an absolute steal!!! If you thought about getting a light but were put off by local pool stores trying to sell you a $200 in wall model...don't hesitate. BUY THIS ONE and save the hassles. I had it installed 3 minutes after opening the package. EXCELLENT BARGAIN!"

Cons: Not enough slack in the cord to winterize as per directions
"This light works great. We have it installed in a 24 ft. round pool and it lights up the entire pool. The only problem was when we went to winterize, there wasn't enough cord to drape it over the outside per instructions, so we just uninstalled it completely. Hopefully it will last longer than our other light did!"

"We bought this to light up the pool at night. We've got a 24' round pool.. Once it's dark outside it does a nice job of lighting it up. I would have liked it to spread the light a bit more. It shines straight across and then bounces around.
That being said, I'm glad we have it. It makes evening swims more enjoyable."

Pros: easy installation
"I have a 18' x 36' oval and it does not light up the whole pool. If I center it the ends of the pool remain dark and if I put it on one end the other end is dark. But what it does light is great - I am ordering another one and putting them on each end"

"The Nightlighter is one of my favorite things I ever bought for the pool !
I have a 18' Round above ground and it lights it up very well, I needed something to light up the pool so i could vacuum at night , beings I work nights , I never get a chance to vacuum or swim in the daytime..THIS LIGHT ROCKS !

"I bought this pool light to help us be able to use the pool at night. Our pool is in a dark part of our backyard and the porchlight does not reach it. It makes for great fun if you can stand the mosquitoes.! Our oldest son and three of his friends used the light to swim just the other night and had a lot of fun. The one light lights up the whole pool."

Pros: Light is bright enough to light all of our 24 ft pool
Cons: It was a little hard to install
"This pool light is great, it will light our entire pool. The only problems we had was installing it under the walk around. It made the panel rise too far so the screws were hard to replace. Our pool is an older one, so the newer ones may be easier."
