"With only 3 weeks into use the seam on the bottom ladder hole tore. There was no misuse by large persons. Tried to patch it but will not hold air. Waste of $150.00 and then find the same product at other retailers for half the price. Wrote to the maker Intex and got no help there either."

Pros: Inflates literally in minutes with high volume pump, durable, price is right, good substiitute for a permanent slide
Cons: older, heavier kids & adults tip unit back slightly when climbing stairs
"We're in the third season of our "water slide". All our grandkids love it. It is best for 6 to 10 year olds, who should be swimmers and taught not to stand on the top and to use slide one-at-a- time. I wrote those instructions in permanent marker on the steps going up! Older kids and adults love it too, but the heavier weight can stress the materials and seams. Since kids can get over-enthusiastic while having fun and invent new tricks it must be supervised by an adult. I recommend placing it only in the deep end. Using the slide also became an incentive for the younger kids to learn to swim and graduate from floaties! So far we have had only two air leaks, one a pin-hole in the stairs chamber and a second, small seam tear at the top of the stairs (main air chamber). Both were fixable. The Intex repair kit works well. Water spray is extra treat and makes slide slippery. I apply marine wax once a year to perserve and make slide a little faster."

Pros: Set up is great, kids love it to slide in the pool...fits great on the deck with carpet underneath
Cons: 1st weekend already got hole in one of the holes for the ladder part
"My 9 yr old loves the slide, had a blast on it the first weekend...however not durable already got rip in the hole of the ladder part. Tried to patch will see if it holds, if not waste of $150.00"

Pros: Great concept-bad constructed product, ladder ripped out in a weeks time of having the product
Cons: Ladder foot hold ripped out after a week of use by an 8 year old
"I was disappointed in Intex, we had a blast with this product for a week. Then one of my 8 year old sons was climbing up the ladder and it completely ripped out. I contacted the manufacturer and they said "too bad, there is no warranty with this product". So I paid big money for a slide we can no longer use, because it's too tall for them to climb up it. I'm not disappointed with In A Swim, I'm disappointed with the product's manufacturer!"
