Cons: Takes a long time to sanitize
"I've use many chemical brand Omni, Aqua Chem, Sun, HTH. This Chlorine is only slightly more effective than HTH. It took two weeks for my pool to clear after opening using this product. Last year, I used one of the 1st three listed and the water cleared in 1/2 the time. It does the job but takes a long time to work."

"This basic shock product works quite well. It dissolves nicely when pre-mixed and does not leave any residue on the pool bottom. Ph and stabilizer levels are not noticeably affected. I have used higher end brands that could not make these claim. When bought in bulk, pricing is very good. The percentage of chlorine/pound is high making this product a value."

"This product was recommend by a local pool store after I had purchased a similar product at a warehouse store. Not only was the Shock from In the Swim less expensive than the Shock from the warehouse store, it worked better too. I used to purchase HTH from a local retailer. But, I can purchase this product from In the Swim and it is about $1.00/lb cheaper and I get it the next day."

"my pool was cristal clear i shock it every sunday with two bags of shock after i ballance the ph. I got this shock put it in sunday and monday I rolled the cover back it looked like someone dumped a 1000 gal of milk in my pool. now its tuesday evening and I can just barely see the botttom, maybe I over shocked it? next sunday I will just try one bag and see how it gos.18000 gal pool. I would hate to throw away 22 bags of shock. I do have to say everything else I got from here has been a real good value."
