Pros: Great Idea
Cons: Poor performance
"The first year we used these, they worked really well. Only a few stretched and came off. Last year I ordered more and only of few of them survived the winter. Most of them didn't survive a week. Stretched and when replaced would not stay."

Small, cheap, ineffective,

Pros: none
Cons: don't grip
"Previously I used larger clips that gripped tightly. They stayed on all winter with few exceptions. I bought these for a new pool. They are much smaller than the ones sold a few years ago, and seem to have no gripping power at all."

Best money saver,

Pros: never have to use milk jugs again
Cons: none
"We purchased the winter cover clips this past year and never regretted it for a moment. They stayed in place all winter and the cover never lifted up off the rim of the pool, even from the heavy weight from the snow. We were very pleased with these and they made it very easy to open our pool in the summer. No more saving milk jugs to use to keep the cover in place.Great Product."

"I love how these clips work! I used to have to tie milk jugs all around my pool to hold the cover on in the winter, but now I just slip the clips on and and they held the cover all winter and never came off.....makes winterizing alot easier."

do not waste your money,

Pros: None
Cons: Do not stay on
"I bought a set of clips (10) for my above ground pool cover. I have never been so disappointed in any product in my life. They fall off all the time, I have put them on and on and on so many times it is not even worth my time anymore."

Didn't work as well as I though,

"I bought 40 or so of these for my 24' round pool. Most of them(15 or so) "stretched" out to the point, they will not stay on the pool. Did not hold at all once the wind started blowing harder. Might work well with something else to help hold down the cover like water bags."

Great Idea/Poor Material and design,
October 14, 2007
By Keri
|
Pros: zero
Cons: do not stay tight and eventually fall off
"These go on tight but stretch out and fall off. When I first put these on I thought they would be great, but a couple weeks later they started just falling off, one by one. We have had no strong wind or anything. Wish I would have saved my receipt and sent all these back!"

Do not bother,
August 28, 2007

Pros: None
Cons: They don't work
"I bouth tons of these last year. They started falling off immediately. Several of them broke while putting on...and once the others fall off, they seem to be too streched to stay back on for even 30 seconds. None of them lasted more than 2 weeks! I love this site, but this is the worst product I've ever purchased from this company ever! I just went back to the old way used the water bags and about 20 water jugs. This method worked as it always does. My cover stayed on all winter long with no rips or tears."

Pros: Most stayed on, some fell off
"If we had used a larger cover, these probably would have been great. Most of them stayed on, a few fell off due to high winds and a rough winter. I will use them this winter, but am purchasing a larger cover to allow for snow and ice weight."
