Pros: I thought these would stretch over the rails of a above ground Intex Pool will not work
Cons: Not even close bad description for use should specify what type of top rails they actually fit on poor description.
"I can't believe they did not tell you they were for flat rail type pools were useless just glad they were not too expensive have found no use for these clips."

pool cover clips,
Date:September 11, 2011
By firestitches

Pros: good hold, stayed on all winter and none have broken.
Cons: some of the clips "stretched" out - 3 out of 24, is not a bad ratio.
"Is our third year using these clips. Am ordering more as find two per upright doesn't work as well as three or even four. They can be hard to put on. Have to get them just right and then no problem. Useing the stretched out ones where I want the four for extra holding, will see if they work thru the winter."

They worked for me,

Pros: Easy to install-Held thru heavy ice & snow-Affordable-Good buy for the money
Cons: Will they work as well next year? Or will I have to replace them?
"I purchased these to lock my cover in place this year as I have had trouble with the cable holding throughout the Pennsylvania winter. I live south of Pittsburgh and got a lot of ice and snow and they worked perfectly! I can only hope that they will work just as well next winter."

Bad Clips, bad,

Pros: Cheap
Cons: Cheaply Made
"I bought 50 of these and I was very excited when I finally got these. I couldn't wait to give them a try. I thought “wow, finally someone came up with a good way of keeping the pool cover on”. Over the years I have tried bungee cords, jugs, and cables. The pool cover needed to be replaced about every other year using these other methods.
The clips were a bit hard to put on but that was to be expected! I figured the tighter the better right?? The clips that were exposed to direct sunlight fell off; the few on the north side of the pool did not. The ones that fell off did not go back to the shape they were when I purchased them, they are now useless. Of the 50 I purchased roughly 8 lasted longer than a week.
Sad, very sad."

Pros: none
Cons: Clips cannot be put over canvas without using your fingers to spread them open.
"Once used they collapse - they seemed to be stretched to far open. We have other clips of same idea and have used them many years over. Was really disappointed in these."

Pros: Fits tight, keeps my cover in place, easy on and off
Cons: None
"I love my clips. We used to fill jugs with water but they scratched the side of our pool. I have had these for four years now and just love them. They are so easy to clip on and they hold the cover in place. Not one of them fell off. I live next to an open field in Pa so the wind just whips through my yard and the cover flaps up and down but the clips do the job. Well worth the money."

Pros: Great Idea
Cons: Poor performance
"The first year we used these, they worked really well. Only a few stretched and came off. Last year I ordered more and only of few of them survived the winter. Most of them didn't survive a week. Stretched and when replaced would not stay."

Small, cheap, ineffective,
Date:August 9, 2009
By hannahss
Pros: none
Cons: don't grip
"Previously I used larger clips that gripped tightly. They stayed on all winter with few exceptions. I bought these for a new pool. They are much smaller than the ones sold a few years ago, and seem to have no gripping power at all."

Best money saver,

Pros: never have to use milk jugs again
Cons: none
"We purchased the winter cover clips this past year and never regretted it for a moment. They stayed in place all winter and the cover never lifted up off the rim of the pool, even from the heavy weight from the snow. We were very pleased with these and they made it very easy to open our pool in the summer. No more saving milk jugs to use to keep the cover in place.Great Product."

Pros: None
Cons: Do not stay on
"I bought a set of clips (10) for my above ground pool cover. I have never been so disappointed in any product in my life. They fall off all the time, I have put them on and on and on so many times it is not even worth my time anymore."

Didn't work as well as I though,

"I bought 40 or so of these for my 24' round pool. Most of them(15 or so) "stretched" out to the point, they will not stay on the pool. Did not hold at all once the wind started blowing harder. Might work well with something else to help hold down the cover like water bags."

Great Idea/Poor Material and design,
Date:October 14, 2007
By Keri
Pros: zero
Cons: do not stay tight and eventually fall off
"These go on tight but stretch out and fall off. When I first put these on I thought they would be great, but a couple weeks later they started just falling off, one by one. We have had no strong wind or anything. Wish I would have saved my receipt and sent all these back!"

Do not bother,
Date:August 28, 2007
By directorcoop
Pros: None
Cons: They don't work
"I bouth tons of these last year. They started falling off immediately. Several of them broke while putting on...and once the others fall off, they seem to be too streched to stay back on for even 30 seconds. None of them lasted more than 2 weeks! I love this site, but this is the worst product I've ever purchased from this company ever! I just went back to the old way used the water bags and about 20 water jugs. This method worked as it always does. My cover stayed on all winter long with no rips or tears."

Did okay,

Pros: Most stayed on, some fell off
"If we had used a larger cover, these probably would have been great. Most of them stayed on, a few fell off due to high winds and a rough winter. I will use them this winter, but am purchasing a larger cover to allow for snow and ice weight."
