needs new way of inflating, October 4, 2009
By Badcarma from Ioa

Pros: It would be a great product if you worked on it!
Cons: Doesn't hold air because of it doesn't seal when closing cap!

"It doesn't seal when closing cap, they need a better way to put air in it and hold the air in it!"

help for valve, September 15, 2009
By TenAC from Greenbrier, TN

Pros: looks ok
Cons: none

"I just received the bag and was most interested in what type of valve it contained. To make a long story short, If you have an older style vacuum just attach the hose to the exhaust then place the hose over the valve. Hold the valve by the edge so as not to obstruct the air flow, it will inflate in seconds. Do not over inflate."

September 13, 2009
By Cathy3435 from Florida

"We ordered two of these pillows last year, one for us and one for our daughter. Her pillow was fine but ours was totally flat the day after we covered our pool. I have purchased several things from In the Swim and have never had a problem until purchasing this pillow - I have to say I would not recommend it."

Like the other reviewer... wouldn't hold air, September 6, 2009
By TravCam from Huntington, WV

Pros: none
Cons: worthless

"I purchased one of these last winter. Like the other reviewer indicated, it wouldn't hold air for longer than a day or so. Gotta love finding that out *after* you put the cover over the pool..."

Does it's job, July 12, 2009
By Steeger from Rockford Il.

Pros: kept inflated and served it's purpose all winter long
Cons: only good for 1 year

"Be sure to only fill halfway as per instructions. Pillow worked great all winter long, but went flat early in the spring before pool openimg. Haven't tried to refill as of yet, but will probably need a new one for this winter. Overall a good bargain!"

Works great, June 23, 2009
By nonickname from Richmond, VA

Pros: very durable
Cons: Not sure how to inflate except by mouth

"I have had the same pillow in the pool 2 winters.
The first I had was still inflated whenwinter was over but I think it was stepped on by a deer and deflated. I threw that one away and ordered another.
In both cases I was confused by the valve I managed to inflate using my mouth . If there is a special fitting for use with a compressor I would live one. I will be buying more for this winter in an attempt to keep water and snow accumulation to a minimum.

These worked horribly for me, May 28, 2009
By MarkS from Wilmington, DE

Pros: none
Cons: They don' WORK!

"I've bought at least 4 of these air pillows and they wouldn't even last 1 season. I followed the instructions to not inflate them fully but in every case they completely deflated within weeks of placing them under my cover. My pool is a 15x30 above-ground with a standard cover. This past year, instead of using these pillows (snce they wouldn't hold air for more than an hour) I used an old inner-tube (not from a car, but one of those $10 tubes that you find at Walmart) and it held up through the whole winter (which was really nasty this year) and did exactly what these pillows were SUPPOSED to do. The best part is it still has all of it's air and I can use it again next fall."

great deal, December 14, 2008
By jaimem from Vevay, In

Pros: stays inflated

"We have had this item in our pool for 3 months and through high winds, temperature changes from 50 to 10 the pillow has stayed inflated, in place, and has helped keep our cover in place. Will buy another one when this one wears out."

greatest product ever, November 26, 2008
By wolfman from Martinsburg Wv.

Pros: everthing that I hoped for and more
Cons: none

"I purchased this product this year and after I installed it under the winter cover I wished that I would have ordered 2 of them and next year I will have 2 for our 15x30 pool it keeps the leaves off and that takes a lot of work out of opening the pool up next spring I can see that already so if you really want a great product this is it but if you have a large pool buy 2 or just ask the dealer because they are always glad to help."

air pillow, November 18, 2008
By mynameisnotimportand from south jersey

Cons: not heavy enough gage

"Got two of the 4x8 air pillows and one ripped when inflated. Very poor quality OR the 16 gage plastic is not heavy enough. I would remove "durable" from your advertising."

Okay, November 14, 2008
By beetlebabe73 from North Carolina

Pros: Made it easier to put the cover on.
Cons: Deflated after about 3 weeks

"I think the concept is great. It does make it easier to put the cover on, but mine deflated after about 3 weeks. And I only inflated in half way. Maybe mine is defective?"

Advice was helpful, November 7, 2007
By Sam61 from WI

Pros: Good price and excellent service
Cons: Maybe four eyelets to tie cord to would be more helpful.

"I have purchased three of there in the past three years from my local pool place and not a one ever survived the entire winter.
You are the first to advise me to fill it only one half full of air to allow for the expansion of the ice. My local dealer never told me this even though I had explained the poor results that I had experienced with their pillows in prior years.
