Pros: Strong pump and just as good as a dough boy (I am a previous owner of a dough boy sand filter)
Cons: The only thing I can think of is no hose to drain the waste with to a drain.

Pros: easy to set up and plenty of power from the pump and after one day the water is crystal clear
Cons: don't come with the sand so after you set it up you have to go to a pool store to get the sand
"My pool is 20 x 42 it holds 8,800 gallons of water the pump i bought is the 14 with 1/2 hp pump and it has plenty of power to keep the water moving and just after a day of running my water is crystal clear so far I am very happy with this system and would highly recommend this to anyone. I also had no trouble setting it up it comes with a dvd and its really easy to follow."

Pros: easy set up pool was crear in 12 hrs good instructions
Cons: none, great filter for the money, don't have any cons at this time
"pool was cloudy, clear in 12hrs! love this filter, quit buying paper filters and get a good sand filter like this one.
book says 110lbs of sand but only takes 100lbs, LOVE THIS FILTER"
