"I bought the Pro Quality Leaf Rake and Skimmer after the department store brands ripped due to the leafs we get here in West Michigan. After 2 years of use, there's no sign of any rips or weakness in the skimmer or leaf rake. I will definitely purchase again when I need another one."

Pros: Strong with fairly deep sides Cons: Mesh holes are smaller so water takes a bit of time to drain off
"I purchased this net after my original broke. This one has a much wider side that enables me to pick up more leaves out of the pool with out them falling off. However the mesh has much smaller holes in it so it can get quite heavy when lifting it since it is holding more water. I have started lifting it out of the water slower than my previous to allow the water to drain. Even with a bunch of leaves and the water on it, it doesn't flex at all. This is much better than my original net that it replaced."

"I thought this skimmer was too good to be true. I don't even know if this net lasted a month and it's winter, so it's not like I'm using it all that much. The metal (copper colored) tube that attaches to the stem of the netting housing cracked, but before that a screw came out of (and obviously lost, so I could not rescrew it) the net frame. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - my $60 net was actually less exprensive, because at least it lasted a few years!"

"My skimmer lost the side screw after only a week. It is rather flimsy but the screen seems durable. My last one lasted through 3 seasons and this one will barely make it through one. Next year I will pay a little extra for the durable one!"
