Pros: should be easy
Cons: It breaks 2-3x per season
"We have had this for three seasons,The inlet and outlet fittings and hoses become brittle and break at least 2x per season. The o- ring at the top cap is the latest hassle. It now needs to be replaced and I can not find a replacement. If you buy this thing buy extra hose and fittings and small plugs to stop the holes when it breaks, because it will!"

Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Need to replace top oring every two years due to swelling
"This is a great unit and for the most part trouble free. You must keep the lid lubed with jacks or similar lube and replace Oring on lid every two years due to swelling. (about $10) thats just normal maintanence. Great unit."

Pros: Easy to install and sturdy
Cons: Cover hard to remove
"We use the free standing chlorinator, and it's keeping the correct amount of chlorine in the pool by using 7 ( 3 inch) tablets a week."
