Didn't Even Last a Year, June 18, 2009
By Rustach from Rio Rancho, NM

Cons: Started falling apart after 10 months

"This pool cover didn't even last a year before it started falling apart shedding thousands of blue dots from the air bubbles in the cover and clogging my filter over and over again."

sinks after 2 years, June 13, 2009
By gg1927 from San Diego, CA

Pros: doesn't last
Cons: it;s cheap

"Works well for a year or two, then starts to get water on top of the cover, so you get more evaporation than you should"

Good product Bad warentee, June 5, 2009
By askgeorge from CA

Pros: Does the job of heating the pool and keeping it clean
Cons: deteriorated within 2 years

"Product did all a cover should except after only two years it is disinagrating and no one will stand behind the warantee state for the product. At this rate it is better to buy a cheaper one and expect to last two years and not pay a premium and not get the benefits of durability or guarantee"

Product failed within 2 years, April 21, 2009
By LCCle from Cleveland, OH

Pros: nice strong cover
Cons: Bubbles come off within 2 years of first use

"I would not recommend buying this product because it doesn't last. I used this on my pool for two summers and when I went to put it on my pool this year, all the bubbles are coming off. I was told by the pool opening company not to put it on the pool because all the little pieces of plastic will clog up my filter and system. So its going in the trash. I live in Cleveland, and our summers are short, so I got about 6 months total use out of the cover before it failed."

Good bargain, April 3, 2009
By JoeF from San Rafael, Ca.

Pros: Inexpensive, gets the job done.
Cons: Only good for a couple of seasons, but it's cheap enough.

"Decent cover. I have had about three of these very some ones. They seem to last 2-3 seasons, which is fine with me. For $110, that's not bad. Heats my water up to about 80 or so, which is perfect, as I have no other heating system.
I must also give an A+ to delivery and how quick it got here! I ordered it on line on Tuesday and it was waiting for me when I got home Thursday!
Excellent service!"

Blue Dots!!, March 23, 2009
By Anonymous from New Jersey

Pros: Does seem to keep pool warmer
Cons: Not very durable

"My pool is surrounded by trees, and in shade most of the day. The pool cover did seem to keep the temperature up by retaining the heat.

However, after one season the little blue dots started falling off. I was spending a majority of my pool maintainance time scooping out blue dots by the hundreds of thousands!!

Looking for a more durable pool cover for the future."

bubble burdting, March 6, 2009
By poolboydispleased from dallas

Pros: warms the pool
Cons: bubbles start coming off and are all over your pool

"until this problem is fixed by who ever makes this stuff, i would not recommend this product. i bought the most exspensive and thus thickest and best built.
lasted 1 1/2 years.
i'm not the only one who sees this problem.
the bubbles are a pain to get out once they are in your pool. i have a roller, we rince the cover, store it in shed with NO sun light."

Pros: cost
Cons: go for the thicker cover

"I have had the cover for over 2 years w/ no problem. But my pool is minimal sun. The cover is on an indoor pool with a large amount of sky lites. The reel I purchased w/the cover is starting to fall apart(it was the economy reel & the wheels made the cover slide too much a waste of money for the wheel kit) The cover is still intact. next time I would recommend the stronger cover."

great buy, October 26, 2007
By memphisgator from Bartlett, TN

Pros: gave us an extra month to swim

"The cover is shaped like bubble wrap and is easy to handle and cut to size. On cloudy days the cover kept the temp from dropping much if any. On days with even a few hours of sunlight on the pool, the temp would go up a few degrees. We didn't buy the roller, but one average size person can roll up and remove this cover. We usually had two of us do it, and we had no problems.
With the cover on, you will use much less clorine. We just closed our pool in late October, and plan to open it earlier next year with this cover."

Failed quickly in the Colorado Sun, October 26, 2007
By gregk from Colorado Springs CO

Pros: Lightweight, warmed the water well, and stayed put in high winds
Cons: failed quickly

"I am a bit surprised at the 5 star ratings, especially from the gent who saw it fail repeatedly after the 2 year mark.
The cover heated well and was easy to move about, but after only one season in Colorado Springs the bubbles started lifting off and I had dozens of blue dots floating about my pool. I am assuming that the intense UV did this.
There was no issue with the warranty, however, which was very good!"

Good cover for the money, August 13, 2007
By ThePoolGirl

Pros: Great for heat retention when USED regularly
Cons: doesn't last as you would expect it to.

"I am purchasing my 3rd solar cover, I have had the blue 12 mil and the silver 12 mil - for the money I will be purchasing the blue 12 mil from now on. I have had the same problem with both covers - after about 2 years of use (about two months after the 2 year full warranty expired), the cover starts to disintegrate. The cover also ripped lengthwise in several places (mostly by seam), and the water constantly has the plastic bubble tops (that come off cover) floating around the pool. We have 2 adults put the cover on, and kept the chemicals in balance. If you buy this cover, be ready to turn in a warranty claim before the two years runs out for the full 100% credit, I have missed it both times by less than a year. The cover is definately worth the money you save in heating costs when used regularly - just need to be prepared to replace it every couple of years."

Best Solar Cover Value, July 10, 2007
By RAWS

Pros: Cost, durability
Cons: Nada

"This is one of the best values in solar covers out there. It is an excellent buy for anyone who needs a good solar cover to keep their pool nice and warm. As usual with In The Swim products, the cover is a high quality product for a great price and the shipping price cannot be beat."

great solar blanket, June 26, 2007
By angelmom from Upstate New York

"If you are looking for a great solar cover for a great price, then order this! I am very impressed with the quality of this cover – it is as good as the last one I had that I paid double the price for. On top of it being a great value – they managed to pack it up and have it delivered to my house less than 48 hours after I ordered it. You can’t go wrong with this solar cover!"
