Pros: Keeps body scum and oils from getting into your filter.
Cons: Kinda of gross to wash out.
"Got this in my opening kit and didn't expect much from it. Boy was I surprised. It really sucks up the oil. I haven't had any black scum in my filter using this. I wash it out once a week with a drop of Dawn dish soap and it still works great. This is one product I definately don't want to be without."

"I first experienced this with the pool opening kit. I am sooo glad that they are sold seperately now. These are terrific when I have a bunch of people swimming. They catch a lot of the lotions and oils before they go into the filter. I would highly recomend this product."

"I am amazed at how well this little sponge captures suntan oil. I've had it in the pool since we opened it and never notice how well it worked until we had guest over that gooped themselves up with suntan oil. By the end of the weekend the edges of the sun had turned black from all the suntan oil and gunk it had captured. A quick wash with dishwash soap removed the oil and it was ready to go again. Bottom a great little product that really works."
