Pros: 5yr full warranty, but other than that not any other pros
Cons: not that much better than the blue covers, grommet spacing not evenly spaced
"I only purchased this cover for the 5 yr full warranty vs the typical 1 year and then pro-rated warranty. This is my 3rd season with this cover and it already has some water leaks thru the material due to material breakdown with the cover coating. I also use the plastic pallet wrap film around edges to prevent wind flap. In Texas high winds are not uncommon and any flapping edges around the cover wear quickly for the grommets are not equal spaced allowing areas of the cover to be loose and flap in the wind even with the cable pulled tight. This year, 2011, I installed an older cover over this cover to minimize further wear on the areas where the material is already breaking down so I can get as close to my 5 year mark as possible before obtaining a new one with the included 5 year full warranty."

Pros: well fit, durable, easy to install
Cons: none so far
"I live in the snow belt in PA where the winters can be harsh, a lot of snow, wind and rain. I purchased the cover in September 2009. I used it last year and it held up well. With the use of bags (purchased also In the Swim) on top and around the outside. Good product if installed properly. I would highly recommend this product."

Great Cover!,
Date:January 12, 2010
By birdbird
Pros: Seems heavy-duty
Cons: Not tight-fitting like picture
"We bought this cover after our first year with our above ground pool, in 2008. So it survived a cold Minnesota winter-really cold, windy & snowy. We are in the middle of it's second MN winter - which has been colder still. It appears to be holding up well. We have a deck on one side of the pool, so we weren't sure how to adapt this(or any) cover, but we just used big bags of sand to hold that side down. We let some rain in late fall stay on the cover to hold it down on those windy days. The snow/ice builds up over the winter, but we use the pump sold @ In The Swim (med size-small was cheap/worthless) to get all the water out in the spring. Worked like a charm. We stored cover in dry/shaded area. Stayed supple, never tore at all. We've had numerous days with temps below 0! We love it so far! (18 months old)"

Pros: none
Cons: as thin as the cheap covers, nothing like the picture
"opened box labor day . very thin just like $50.00 blue covers. I have a 21' above ground pool. & live in Chicago.
the cheap cover last one winter. I hope this one makes it.
with a pillow in the pool the cover doesn't hang like the picture. It is not a custom fir cover like the picture shows. it does have grommets and cable to tighten it down just like the cheap covers and bunches up the same. Do not buy it because the picture looks like a tight fit its not true.I also bought the clips for and extra $10.00. Ill know more in the spring.

Pros: Keeps dirt out. Very durable
Cons: none
"Just completed my first winter with this cover. It's lightweight and extremely durable. I was hesitant because it was not nearly as heavy as my old winter covers. I was wrong. I live in the midwest had an extremely bad winter. The cover stayed put, no problems, and when opening this spring, there was NO dirt on the bottom of the pool. Water was crystal clear as usual. If the water wasn't so cold I could have jumped right in. Fantastic cover!!"

Pros: none
Cons: tears easily does not anchor well
"This cover tears easily and clips do not hold it well on the pool. The cover is the worst cover I have ever purchased. The economy cover I got with the pool 7 years ago was better than this cover."

Pros: easy to install, quality and warranty
Cons: none found
"I have bought many things from In the Swim and I needed a new cover for my above ground pool. Many out there and some are pretty cheeply made. Thia has a great product Warranty. I shopped around and was able to get price match from In the Swim. Easy to install by myself, normall it would take 3 people to get done. A must is the clipd that keep to from getting damaged and holds it in place while installing."

Pros: great overlap
Cons: none so far
"this cover is easy to put over the pool. looks better than other colors, to look upon during the winter month. was light weight to pull on, even just one person can do it. the loops are very strong. the entire costruction is very well made. this is the first season for me, but i am sure the best purchase for the covers i had in the past. look forward for the time of removing it, to see if the water stays clearer, with this cover."

Pros: Light-weight, low maintenance
Cons: I didn't buy it sooner
"After having to replace my pool cover each of the past 3 years I decided to take a shot with this cover. I couldn't have been more pleased. It's by far the best cover I've ever used. It does seem plastic-like as someone else pointed out but that doesn't seem to be a problem. I get lots of leaves, rain and snow during the off-season and maintaning the cover so far has been no problem. There's ample overlap and the clips have held up under significant leaf weight."

Great Pool Cover,

Pros: Very Strong...water will not seap thru cover into pool
Cons: None
"In 6 years, this is the 3rd cover that I've purchased...and it's "by far" the best one I've owned. All previous covers had a weave, that eventually stretched open allowing water to filter thru the cover into the pool. This cover has a coating over the weave, making it practically a solid cover.

Pros: fit well, construction is great
Cons: the cable supplied is not long enough !!
"I purchased the armor kote winter cover for my 18x33 above ground pool with the x-tra charge cover clips. the cover seems to fit very well, and construction is good. the biggest drawback is that the supplied cable was not even long enough to go all the way around the pool! let alone long enough to thread into the cable rachet!! I had to go to the local hardware store and buy a cable. I was less than pleased to have a 33 ft.long sheet of plastic that was blown around by the wind until I got back from the hardware store"

Pros: Cover seems durable
Cons: Don't know yet
"I live in an area of the country that tends to get very high winds over the winter. Every cover I have purchased (I am on the fourth one in ten years) never lasts. The seams rip or I get a lot of holes. I have tried just about everything to keep them secure and non-flapping, but the wind always wins. The little black pool cover clips DO NOT WORK! Don't buy them they just blow away.
This is my first winter season with this cover, I will come back and let you know how it holds up."

Pros: strong cover
Cons: doesn't let water through
"I like the cover. It appears to be nice & strong. It does not let the water through as claimed by the other review. That disappointed me. I purchased it thinking it would even though it never claimed to in its description. It is an overall nice strong cover."
