Pros: Easy to clean, Easy to set up
Cons: Needs to be a little thicker construction, need lots of them.
"This past year was the first year using them. I did not purchase enough of them to go around the whole pool so I had both the blocks and bags. They were just as effective as bags as both had a tendency to be dragged towards the pool. However we did loose a couple of bags during winter due to leakage and that side wound up in the drink. The aqua blocks stayed full. Some of the lids did blow off and had to be put back on several times. Cleanup was super easy, just dump the water and stack. This year I am getting enough for the other half and possibly positioning them diagonally to keep more weight on the cover to keep it from slipping. I'm done with bags. However they do take up more space in storage."

Pros: The dog doesn't eat them like the water tubes
Cons: could be bigger
"we tried because the dog seemed to love to chew on the water tubes. actually they work pretty well. . It's the middle of winter now, and so far I haven't had any problems with the lids. They stack and store a lot easier than the tubes. overall I would say it is a good product."

Pros: easy to use, easy to store don't lose water
Cons: a little more expensive than water bags
"I searched the internet and stores and found the price here is the best for the aqua blocks. This product is better than water bags because they don't break and don't need to be replaced as often. They stack for easy storage and retain the water all winter long. Much easier to setup and fill than water bags. Great produt."

Pros: Compared to "water bags" much more durable.
Cons: Could be a little longer in size to engage more cover loops.
"Took 1/3 the time to install. They nest in a very small space for storage and are very easy to handle."
