Couldn't do without it!,
August 2, 2009
By Buff

Pros: Increases water temperature
Cons: Removing - but please read further
"Everyone now swims in warmer water! AND by reading other reviews, we now remove the cover easier. Was suggested to roll the cover and then put over the sides onto the saddles (instead of pulling off like an accordian). This makes it easier to put back on also. Thanks for writing those reviews! :-)"

So far so good,
August 1, 2009
By KimInPA

|
Pros: Feels heavier, and is oversized
Cons: Oversized also means that it tends to bunch up easier
"So far I'm liking this solar cover. I dont think it heats any better than the standard solar cover but I'm hoping it lasts longer. It does feel more heavy duty so I have hopes that it will. We'll see."

Very Good Solar Cover,
July 27, 2009
By soyong
from Roanoke, VA
|
Pros: Very little heat loss overnight
Cons: Weight makes it hard to handle
"We have had a summer of warm days and cool nights. Temperature loss overnight has been about 2 degrees with this cover even when the air temperature dropped from the 80s to the 60s overnight. Removing the cover is a little difficult for one person due to the weight. Overall it is a great cover for the price."

Nice Cover,
July 27, 2009
By tbryan1027
from St. Louis
|
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: None so far
"I ordered the cover and it came within 3 days. It was easy to install (had to replace old cover) and seems to be keeping the water warm. I haven't actually unrolled it since we put it on because the temps outside is not hot enough to go swimming, but I don't anticipate a problem."

Good Service,
July 25, 2009
By slider
from Southern Illinois
|
Pros: Faulty cover was replaced promptly
Cons: Cover failed during 1st year
"This cover is a practical cover, but the bubbles on it began to flake off during the first year of use. We work to keep all levels of the pool chemical correct so that shouldn't be a problem. The great thing is In the Swim replaced the cover without delay. I thank them for their great customer service."

By Richd65

Pros: Thick,durable,warms pool fast
Cons: n/a
"This is the second solar cover we purchased in 6 years and the quality this time around is much better than the blue thinner one which ripped and torn easily. Definetly would purchase this cover again hopefully not for a long time....."

Great Cover,
July 18, 2009
By info
from MARYLAND
|
Pros: Thick and Styrdy
"This is a great cover that is thick, sturdy and heavier than any cover we have had before. We usually go thru a cover every other year because they become brittle and rip. This cover has held up GREAT and we haven't found any little bubble circles in the pool. It keeps the pool clean, helps cut down on chemical usuage and keeps it nice and warm!!"

so far so good,
July 13, 2009
By shawnlane
from Des Plaines, IL
|
Pros: 12ml but feels easier to take off
Cons: hope it is as strong as a 12ml
"I have tried all kinds of solar covers from cheapest to most expensive so sticking with the middle weight of 12ml seems to be the best for my money. No cover last for its warranty, my best luck is at most 3 summers worth."

Pros: price
"great company to deal with no matter what the price of the product is. You get fast and reliable service whether low or high end. Cover is very good quality and does a great job with heat retention here in northeast Penna. I would and have recommended your site and products to many of my freinds."

Increased temp 5 degrees,
July 13, 2009
By upswimmer
from Northern Michigan
|
Pros: Increased temperature of pool
Cons: Too large had to trim
"This solar cover increased the pool temperature 5-10 degrees within 3 days of putting it on. Living in Northern Michigan it can be difficult to keep the pool temperature up...this will help reduce heating costs."

By Ninenut

Pros: Easy to put on
Cons: none yet
"We purchased the cover to help speed the warming process. It really helped with getting us in the pool sooner. We had just installed the pool and were in a hurry to use pool, This cover really helped warming the water sooner. With the help of one other person the cover was easy to install and remove. It folded up and packed away as well as could be expected."

Huge Money Saver!!,
July 11, 2009
By Anonymous
from Minnesota
|
Pros: Easy to handle, paid for itself the first month
Cons: 2 person job
"We installed a solar cover and reel on our 24" above ground pool this year. We have a heater that we have always used in the past. When we compared our cost on utilities this year to the past 3-we found your solar cover paid for itself in the first month. We have only used the heater twice so far this year. We absolutely love this product. The only down side is that we placed the reel directly in the center of the pool so it takes two people to remove it-so we can play volleyball, of course."

reflective,
July 11, 2009
By starch
from Dover, DE
|
Pros: stronger than the blue solar covers
Cons: reflects the sun's rays
"It is July 09 and I have had my new solar cover on the pool since May 09. It could be the cool nights or is the sun's rays being reflected off the silver color cover instead of being absorbed. My family hasn't been in the pool yet. On the other side, the blue covers only lasted two years and I was always purchasing new ones. Let's see how long this one last."

By tamandjake

Pros: Works well holds temp well
Cons: none so far
"Have had for about 3 months now. Works well to hold temp in pool overnight. Have had a few mid 60's nights and found that pool has not dropped more one or two degrees. Havae had no problems with bubbles popping or anything like that. Have had very good louck out of it so far."
