Poor Pool cleaner, July 11, 2009
By DennisR from Central Pennsylvania (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

Cons: Poor design, poor workmanship, and poor cutomer care.

"I would like to be able to say it moves about in the pool with ease, but it barely moves at all. The filter basket was broken when it was purchased.
It does not clean the pool surfaces it walks across very well. I contacted Aquabots 1-800 service number and they were not interested in replacing or fixing this unit. But they were willing to sell me some recommended parts. Please try another manufacturer and avoid Aquabot Products."

Phenomenal Pay Back, July 2, 2009
By AquaticOlympiad from PA (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

Pros: Cleans deep where my other cleaners couldn't
Cons: It's truly an inve$tment

"Not sure if it's due to its brushes or its power jets, but my Aquabot TurboT2 robotic cleaner is a power house that cleans deep down where my other cleaners of the past couldn't, including a different brand robotic cleaner. Following aquabot company's instructions I've dropped my pool filter run time to just 4 hours per day and am running my T2 5 hours (an hour or two longer than they suggested, just to be safe) and my summer energy bills are honestly about 70% less than what they were last year!

The greatest this is though is that my aquabot does what it promised; scrubs, power washes, vacuums and filters, and I mean deep into my vinyl liner seams and corners that none of my other cleaners could get to. The water really does seem to sparkle more cleanly. Maybe it's my imagination, but the water quality reaally does feel and look better.

She's a little bit pricey out of the starting gate, but has already saved me several hundred dollars to date and the summer has a couple of months to go still and I didn't do the calculations on the cutting down of the backwashing or chlorine use that they claim, but based on the energy savings alone and living up to its promises thus far, I'm willing to bet I'm saving far more than what i've calculated.

It's an ivestment, but one that gives a phenomenal pay back!"

Worst robot ever, June 13, 2008
By captbilly from Sacramento, CA (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

Pros: cleans ok
Cons: very very poor design and construction

"I have had several pool robots over the years. My first was an antique Aqua Queen, which simply ran forever. I only gave up the Aqua Queen because I sold my house and the new owner wanted the robot. I expected my Turbo T2 to be much better than the Aqua Queen since many years had passed and technology should have improved, or so I thought.

The Turbo T2 does do a reasonably good job of cleaning, even going up the walls of the pool and scrubbing them. First off I was pretty disapointed that I could not simply put the Turbo T2 in the pool and let it run. The robot would always twist it's cord so much that after 30 minutes to an hour it would be all tangled up. So I would have to un-twist the cord 3 or 4 times per run to get my pool clean, not so terrible.

After no more than a few months (about 10 - 20 runs) the robot stopped running so I returned it to the manufacturer you did some sort of repair. I ran the robot a few more times and noticed that it was now constantly getting stuck, not on anything in particular but it would just stop. I pulled it out and took a good look and saw that virtually every bearing on the robot was compleatly worn out. The bearings were so ovaled from wear that the belts and tracks were slipping freely over their sprockets. I am an engineer and I saw that if I rotated the bushings 180 degrees that the bearing would work again, so I put the robot back in service. Oh, I remembered I also had to replace the tracks and belts because they were so streatched that they slipped even with the bearings repaired.

So I ran the robot a few more time and then the main motor completely failed. At this point I didn't even pother to send it in for a repair. I could not see what they could do to the robot that would keep the thing from wearing out every 20 - 40 runs and I didn't want to keep getting it repaired.

I would not recommend this to anyone unless you could get it for a hundred dollars and just throw it away when it failed."

Excellent Buy, July 25, 2007
By keenlawyer (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

Pros: It did everything we thought it would and more!
Cons: Manual could be made clearer on some points.

"We are very happy with the "robbie" our robotic cleaner -- T2 from Aquabot. It cleaned the entire pool in one hour. It was easy to use and it was true you just drop it in the pool and it works! It climbed the walls of our pool without any difficulty. We had, had Creepy Krauly and this is a vast improvement on what we had. We did call Aquabot's technical department on a question dealing with the handle being diagonal (the manual was wrong and the handle on the T-2 sweeps like a garage door). The technical department answered on the first ring and solved our problem immediately.

We are extremely pleased with this product."
