Pros: looks nice
Cons: did not work
"I received this in the mail and it did not work. It comes with very little instruction and never even got to try it because it simply would not even charge, so I ended up having to pay for the shipping to send it back for a refund. I should have read the previous reviews before purchasing this product. I would not have purchased it if I had read them."

Pros: ....
Cons: Gets stuck on ladders and some corners
"It doesn’t really pick anything up, when it moves through the water it pushes everything away, a bit counterintuitive. Battery is worthless too."

Do Not Waste Your Money,
Date:March 23, 2008
By Anonymous
Pros: None
Cons: Catches on everything. Picks up little.
"This is a poor product. (1) Doesn't hold charge very long. (2) Get stuck on side of pool, ladder, steps, etc. (3) Creates a wave as it moves that pushes stuff out of its way, not in its mouth. (4) Just a toy without a remote."

BEWARE,
Date:September 24, 2007
By SirRichard
Pros: Looks good?
Cons: Everything
"It may look efficient, but my purchase never cleared much debris, didn't avoid obstacles and charged poorly... finally putting itself out of misery less than two months after it was purchased. Beware and save yourself the aggravation and spend your money elsewhere."

Ugh. Save your money.,
Date:September 10, 2007
By CCS104
Pros: Cute toy.
Cons: Where do I start?
"Save your money! I'd rate it with a 0 if I could!
Died before it made two trips around my 18x36 pool. Cleaned up some stuff -- but lots it's charge way too quickly to serve any real purpose. Stick with the skimmer! It's less frustrating and much cheaper!!!"

A waste of money,
Date:August 26, 2007
By Hoot
Pros: None
Cons: To many to list
"Received and charged, did not know how long was approiate so after two hours I put it in the pool, did not take long to realize I wasted $ 49.95 plus shipping. This product should be in Toys R Us for childrens wading pools.
Don't waste your money..

Drives the Dog Crazy!,
Date:August 25, 2007
By Buffalogal
Pros: Looks cute.
Cons: Picks up two leaves and one japanese beetle on a GOOD Day!
"Because the SHARK is made by Aqua Vac I assumed it was going to be a quality product. Constantly gets caught in the corners of my rectangular pool and must be rescued. It is really a toy without a remote control feature! I kept it because my little dog gets her exercise by barking at it ! Otherwise, it is totally useless."

A decent purchase for the price,
Date:August 24, 2007
By AikidoAkitas
Pros: Picks up leaves and stuff
Cons: Gets stuck and doesnt hold a charge
"this is a decent purchase for the price - mostly used as a pool ornament though - it doesnt hold a charge long and when it does it gets stuck on the sides. The kids and dogs love to push it around the pool. I like it - its cute. When it runs it DOES pick up leaves and debris."

Cons: charging time, ability to "skim"
"I am sorry, but I cannot recommend this product. I feel I threw $50.00 down the drain. Did not have anything in basket after leaving in pool for 20 minutes. Charger with no instructions- so I do not know how long till fully charged-additionally charger seem to get very hot while charging. If anyone has any tips on utilizing this product to its full advantage-I would appreciate them."

Sherman,
Date:August 23, 2007
By Mikie
Pros: Cute
Cons: Gets stuck
"We love Sherman (Our name for Skim Shark) he is so cute swimming around. He misses lots of stuff in the water and he gets stuck on the steps, under the coving and in the skimmer but we don't care. Sometimes he can even get himself out of trouble (unstuck). We are So glad we bought him."

Disappointed With Purchase,
Date:August 23, 2007
By August
Pros: None
Cons: Constantly Hit Pool Walls and Stopped Working
"I found this item a total waste of money. You really have to be around the pool the whole time it is working and even then, you have to keep moving it every time it hits the pool walls. It also hardly picked up any debris in the pool. A very disappointing purchase."

save your $$,
Date:August 23, 2007
By Brogan
Pros: kids thought it looked cool
Cons: cheaply made; dead on arrival
"Charged this thing up per the instructions, hit the on switch and nothing. Finally got it to work by spinning the impeller a few times by hand - and then only sporadically at best. Even when it did work, it built up enough of a wave in front of it, anything in the water was just pushed off to the side. Also, got 'stuck' on pool walls and corners. Maybe I just got a dud, but not taking a chance on a replacement. Returned promptly for refund."
