Pros: Cleans great when it works
Cons: Last only about a season
"This is our third season with the Phantom Turbo. It was great the first year, second year it needed maintenance. The third year we replaced parts but today I'm off to buy a new one. It is the best we have used, but it has a tendency to go in circles or get tangled after one season. Still I am going to buy another ..."

Pros: easy to assemble - good cleaner
Cons: will not last
"System is great for one year but will not last more than one season. I have bought two and had to repair both. Just got out the cleaner for this year and same thing again- 2 parts broken - and I was careful to dry and store inside. Time to switch"

Not a good purchase,

Pros: Works great when it works!
Cons: Breaks every two months
"I bought the Phantom last year and it worked for about two months and then started going around in a circle. I reported to manufacturer and they sent me the turbo (entire internal part) to replace. I did and it worked for two months. Then they sent me a new Phantom, it worked for, again, two months. The same thing happened each time. It starts circling. I contacted the manufacture and they have been no help. The warranty has expired! I took it apart and found in each turbo that the rubber washers become stretched and stops the parts from moving that change direction and thats what makes in rotate in a circle...BAD ENGINEERING!!!"

Pros: Excellent cleaner, Easy setup, Easy to retrieve and place into pool
Cons: Not perfect but excellent, Recommended cleaning time is too short, Instructions slightly inadequate
"I have used only Polaris cleaners before because they were supposed to be excellent. To keep them in good working condition was far too costly and time consuming. The Phantom seems to be a better alternative. The tail is not as effective since it does not provide any type of scrubbing and only agitates any sediment formation over which it passes. I love the dual cleansing ability that performs a skimming action as well as the walls and floor of the pool. There does appear to be some tangling problems but occasional observation and ease of untanglement does seem to help. The step cleaning ability is another excellent feature.
I will write another review after the first season to give a more accurate report."
