Excellent paint for pool deck,

Pros: Creates non-slip surface, dries quickly, seems very durable
Cons: Not cheap, some deck prep needed
"This was a great purchase for our house. My wife slipped and hurt her knee on the patio paint we used to have (very slippery when wet). It has created a very durable surface that is not slippery even when wet. It's almost like there's a shell on the deck. And the deck is actually the only thing cool place to walk on barefoot! The colors on the sample page are near the color, they may actually be a little bit lighter so be careful when choosing. It is also extremely thick and we did add water to both layers we did. There was also a little bit of work to prep the surface but overall I would highly recommend."

Pros: Great coverage and looks great, ez directions, price is in line
Cons: product works as described, no issues and color is good
"I was a little scared to paint my 12 year old cement pool deck, I didn't want a thick painted look, but it was getting tired looking. I followed the directions to a "T" and I am very pleased and so is my wife. Its not a thick look, paint soaked in well with two coats. should have done this years ago, GRET product!"

Awesome Product,

Pros: Nice texture, improved beauty, easy to apply.....................
Cons: Preparation is a little time consuming; color a little light
"My patio off the pool area had a smooth finish and was very dangerous to anyone with wet feet. Also, over time, it had become stained and a little unsightly.
Preparation of the surface was a little time consuming, but the finished product was well worth the effort. I chose the putty color since it appeared to be the darkest in the selection. The final color looks very similar to "fresh" concrete. It is more gray than brown, and definitely lighter than the selection on screen. I wished the manufactures would develop an additive to tint it to a dark brown color.
However, the finish is beautiful, and so crisp and clean looking. Best of all, I can now water all my patio plants and not worry about slipping and falling. Texture is moderately rough, but is not harsh on bare feet.
I had to "cut in" all around the patio railing with a brush; it worked fine, and I can see no difference in that compared to the rolled area. It dried to touch very quickly (an hour or so) which was really nice. You can only herd cats so long. I let it cure over 24 hours before moving furniture back.
So far so good. Hope it holds up over time and stays as beautiful as it is today."

Pros: Coverage was better than advertised as was the end result!
Cons: Would of liked to seen a 5 gallon bucket option! it would of simplified the application.
"The product was shipped quickly and in great shape. We purchased the color "Putty" which was a complete opposite to our "White Sand" color. We were not disappointed in the color, it did what our hopes wanted done. Following the label's instructions was the key to applying the paint, specially with the white base we had to work with. The truth is I ordered more than needed but I now have enough left to repair anything needing done."

Sort of Pleased,

"We looked high and low for a pool deck paint color that would work. We wanted something darker, more rich. We were so excited when we found the "Putty" color. This excitment lasted until we opened the can. Definitely not even remotely close to the color on the screen. It was more gray than deep brown. We decided to apply it, with the hopes that it would somehow darken after drying. It did darken up a little bit, but again, was no where near close to the color on the screen. I understand that a computer color rendering will never be the same as the color in real life, but this was nuts. We checked with In the Swim and the mfg, Kelley Technical, who checked the color code and confirmed that we had the right color...putty.
Ultimately, we ended up putting the paint down b/c the prep was done and we just wanted to finish the project. The paint went on beautifully and dried to a great surface. The only disappointment was the color!"

Pros: nice job on small areas around the pool
Cons: had to paint again
"I purchased the deck paint last year the narrow concrete it has held up well but this year I had to repaint the larger areas ,I noticed the lare areas when wet some places the paint would blister when dry it would lay back down, when I sprayed the concrete with a water hose the paint would flake off taking the smooth surface of the concrete off I prepared it right the paint stayed on the concrete but the concrete would flake off just on the big areas.I don't know why that happened."
