Pros: Easy to use/program.

Cons: None!

"We researched EVERY heat pump out there for an entire year before purchasing this product. We have owned this for about 3.5 years now, and have had absolutely NO problems with it and it performs wonderfully...exactly has described by the manufacturer. We open the pool in mid to late March, and shut down early November depending on the weather. This product was well worth every penny we spent. In our second year of ownership, we did not have professionals shut down the pool. Unbeknownst to us, the system automatically shifted to "freeze mode" so all winter long, as long as power is on, the heat pump turns on periodically when the temperature falls below a certain temperature preprogrammed by the system to prevent freezing/damage. Our electric bill is not noticeablly increased in the summer or in the winter...runs all year long so pool opening is a cinche and requires no professional. We do not drain the pool...just treat with appropriate chemicals, cover...then we just open the pool in the spring, add chemicals appopriately push "run" and we are ready in very little time to begin our swim season!!! We have saved hundreds in water costs/electrical, and professional "pool closing/opening" costs"

"This pump works very well as long as you don't expect to have hot water in a couple of hours. It takes time to heat the pool this way but it does do a good job."

Pros: It actually heats the water up and keeps it warm :)

Cons: Plumbing and electric work needs to be done to hook up

"We've been to all the local pool stores looking for a way to heat the water in our pool so we could get more use out of it and nobody would recommend this - the heat pump. Finally a neighbor told us about it and I found it on this website for the best price. It works great - you will definately need a solar cover with it. Prepared for hiring a plumber and an electrician to hook this up, unless you are very handy and can purchase the necessary pipes and hook everything up yourself."
