Good, For A While, July 22, 2009
By grahamml1 from NC

Pros: Illuminates pool perfectly, for a limited time
Cons: Looses charge and bwecomes useless

"Purchased Glowbouy first in 2006, replaced it from the manufacturer in 2007, after I allowed it to run completely almost every night. (felling asleep in the recliner). They replaced it and included instructions saying to not let it run down. Well, it's 2009 and my 2nd Glowbuoy will last about 10 seconds on a 2-day charge. Tell Glowbuoy we need one w\ a solar panel, that floats during day charging (with a more-robust suction cup), and, after illiminating the pool perfectly, runs down itself after dark."

Give it a Try, July 20, 2009
By Ricki from Cape Girardeau, MO

Pros: Lights up my 20x40 pool
Cons: I wish it could be more stationary rather than floating around

"I like this light. It is my second one. The first one did not last long, but that was my fault. I did not keep it charging at all times when not in use. You have to do that to extend the life. I like that it is not connected to electricity in the pool like an installed, which always made me uncomfortable.
What if the the installed somehow got broken? Alwalys feared electrocution. The Glowbuoy is the perfect solution. It lights my big pool well and stays lit for several hours.....longer than we swim. I don't have to worry about turning anything off either. Give it a try.

Could be better, July 19, 2009
By amadge from Albion, MI

Pros: lights up whole pool
Cons: charge

"I bought this product this year, we have only used it once. It lights up the whole pool but doesn't hold a charge for very long. It was on for about an hour and after that would not turn on again until we charged it over night."

disappointed, June 25, 2009
By inthedark from Chicago,IL

Pros: lights up the whole pool
Cons: disposable--lasts for 1-2 seasons

"Poorly constructed. Will not hold charge after a few seasons. Lights up for only 10 minutes and then leaves us in the dark."

not worth it, June 20, 2009
By ilvbjc

Pros: lights up the pool
Cons: worked once

"We put this in the pool because we didn't have the money to install lighting when the pool was built. We used the glowbouy one night and the next time we tried to use it, it did not work."

Best Choice, July 9, 2008
By mad25dog from Newburgh, Indiana

Pros: Sturdy construction and easy instructions for use
Cons: A little bit heavy for getting out of the pool

"Much easier and cheaper solution to breaking up the concrete in order to fix old lighting. I haven't had lighting in my inground pool for two years and really missed it. My underground (concrete) wiring to my existing pool light would require a lot of work, mess and expense to replace. The Glow Buoy is the best floating light I have found. It really throws a lot of light. My pool is 20' x 40' and it works very well. I just ordered another one for my daughter and son-in-law's pool."

By MsNatalie from Alabama

Pros: Low cost

"I recently had my pool redone and when I did, I did away with the pool light because of problems with leaks... when I purchased this light, I really wasn't expecting it to light my entire 20 x 40 pool..but it really does !! I'm very happy with my purchase and will recommend to others..."

IT works., August 22, 2007
By MacPHX

Pros: Lights very well, for large and small pools.
Cons: Only a 4 hour life-span until it needs another charge.

"All I have to say is that this light really works. I was VERY skeptical on buying this and asked the sales rep about 1000 times "If this doesn't work, can I return it?" She said yes. SO... when I got it I was amazed it actually filled the whole pool with light. My neighbors can even see the light off the pool. This product really does work. I was debating getting a light installed in my pool, but now I don't have to spend the $1000 to get it installed...this light works just as well. If your EVEN debating this light...GET IT!!!!"

Low mood lighting for midnight, August 22, 2007
By Rhinobuck

Pros: Just enough light to be comfortable walking around
Cons: Should come with a cord so you can pull it in at the end of the night.

"We have a 18' X 36' inground pool. This generates enough light to be able to light the torche's and put this on to see and be able to visit
without the bright backyard.

great light for pool, May 18, 2007
By mattie

Pros: great light

"I have a 13x21x4 splash pool. It was a great
light. Lite the entire pool. Could also see the bottom. We loved it. Now we can go out and swim at night. Exactly what we were looking for.
