ABSOLUTELY Love This System!,

Pros: Takes little start-up and maintenance
Cons: None
"We absolutely love these products. We actually have some left over from last year, as we did not need near as much as we were told by a pool company. A little goes a LONG way. Well worth the initial cost!"

Tips for new users of Biguanide,
Date:September 3, 2009

Pros: We love this product. We hardly have to monitor chemical levels!
Cons: More expensive than Chlorine
"Here are some tips from a long time user.
1) Replace your sand in your filter every year. Just go to a sand and gravel place and get your sand. It actually works better than the bagged stuff as it has various sizes of sand, a few rocks and a little dust.
2) Check your water for hardness. I always use some calcium to soften up the water before adding my baquacil or splashes.
3) If you are having problems with cloudiness it probably means that your water is hard or your ph is off. Use the shock after taking care of those items. (see 2) above)
4) Flocculant is real helpful in getting the small stuff down to be sucked up by the vacuum. Put some in your filter intake.
5) The extra money you pay for splashes saves a lot of time since chlorine takes a lot of daily care to make sure everything is balanced.
6) This product prolongs the life of your vinyl and metal parts of your pool. We have had our pool up for at least 12 years and have no rust.
7) If your eyes are hurting or lungs it is my guess that it isn't Splashes (biguanide) that is causing the problem. My guess is that your PH is way off or you are using way too much of the product.
8) I only add when it is obvious that I need it. First shock, then later add sanitizer.
9) I add algaecide when the green stuff starts to grow, not before.

No Green Hair,
Date:July 20, 2009
By Punkin
Pros: This product does not turn one's hair green and is easy on the skin
"We find these products reasonably priced compared to other non-chlorine products. We find ourselves using more shock than we anticipated but the pool is clear and sparkling even with a lot of use."

Little Maintenance,

Pros: Little maintenance
Cons: Stays cloudier longer than with chlorine shock
"Little maintance is a plus. I don't care for the bitter taste or airway irritation. Takes a lot of clarifier and about 3 full months of filtration to get crystal clear water. Chlorine shock could clear my pool in one weekend."

Pros: Much better price than Baquacil
"We love Splashes. The chemicals work as well as Baquacil, but the price is so much better. We switched to Splashes this summer, and we have not had any problems."

Pros: Saving Lots of Money
Cons: None
"I switched to Chlorine Free 3 years ago and was amazed at the responses from friends, family, and neighbors. They all felt the difference and said that the water just felt softer and cleaner. I discovered the Splashes System last year and realized how much money I was saving. The fast delivery made it easy to manage my pool for the entire season.
I can't wait to open the pool again in the Spring!!

Pros: WAY MORE ECONOMICAL!
Cons: HAVE TO HAVE CLOUD OUT, SANITIZER WON'T CLEAR IT
"WE HAVE A SMALL 18" ROUND POOL BUT WAS SPENDING A FORTUNE IN CHLORINE, AVERAGING 18 GALLONS A WEEK+ PH ETC..., THE SUN WAS JUST BURNING IT OUT OF THE WATER AS FAST AS WE COULD PUT IT IN. CHANGED OVER TO SPLASH AND OUR COST HAS BEEN CUT BY MORE THAN HALF!! WOULD AND HAVE RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY ONE WHO HAS TROUBLE WITH MAINTAINING CHLORINE LEVELS."
