Pros: easy in/out of pool Cons: restricts circulation, traps algae inside of stairs.
"I thought these would be great stairs, until the pool turned green a few days later. Our pool is 24ft round, and these steps restrict the flow of water to keep a circular motion going. The algae is trapped in the underside of the steps and it all goes downhill from there."

"This has definitely been the BEST purchase we could have made for our pool. We researched many pool steps before deciding to purchase this from In The Swim. In the Swim had the best price,the best order processing, and the quickest delivery. Thanks to In The Swim, we had our pool steps in just a few days which was a great relief since the outdoor temperatures were in the 90"s. The steps took only a few minutes to install. They have nice rounded edges so there is nothing to get hurt on and nothing to damage the pool liner. The steps are anti-slip and are a good size so it is easy for everyone in our family (ages toddler to eighty) to use them. With the pool and water kept clean & up- to -par, cleaning the steps and around them hasn't been an issue. Our entire family rates these steps 5 STARS!"

"We bought our steps 3 summers ago, and they are still holding up perfectly. The most important thing to me was the idea that if one of our outside cats, or a squirrel or ANYONE really, fell into the pool, they would be able to get out with ease. Our little dog loves to swim with us, and she comes and goes at will (with our supervision of course), but these steps are the best invention. I would highly recommend them to everyone, and have!"

"We've had ours for 4 years - they hold up well, don't bend or crack. WELL WORTH THE MONEY! Make your above-ground pool as easy to get in and out of as an inground pool. We can't say ENOUGH about ours!!! Helps the little ones get used to the water (both temperature wise and "scary" wise).... wouldn't be without it!!!"

"A word of warning!!!!! Measure carefully before you order these steps. These steps are poorly designed. The product description says the steps fit pools 48-52 inches. My pool is 52 inches, and after we attached the handrail, inserted the 3 bags of sand (150lbs total) and dropped the steps into the pool, we discovered there was a considerable drop from the deck to the first step, making it nearly impossible to enter the pool safetly. I called custumer service and they did offer to take the steps back, however not only would we have to reverse the whole process by taking the steps out of the pool, ect, I found out it would cost me #300+ to ship the steps back. I would suggest ordering steps that you can adjust the height."

"I bought these stairs because I needed heavy duty stairs and mine were wore out. I like the way they look, but they are definately not as easy as seems to assemble. The mat must be laid out and made sure that it is as flat as a pancake and you have to buy 6-8 60 lb bags of sand to hold these stairs in the pool. You have to make sure that you assemble the handles correctly also. The instructions to the stairs are not very good. We learned through trial and error. We had to take the stairs out of the pool 3 times to get the sandbags in there to hold them down. If they are not weighted down correctly, your mat will come out and you have to reset it, and then you may go outside and find your stairs floating in the water. We have put 8 60 lbs bags of sand in ours and too make sure the sand does not leak into the pool we wrapped them in heavy duty trash bags and the glad XL ziplock bags. Don't get me wrong I like the stairs, but for the money you have to spend extra I'm wondering if they are worth it."
