Pros: Very pretty in the water
Cons: Don't really light the pool well
"We thought these were pretty nice. We have our pool in the sun all day so they charged well. They are pretty to look at as they float they change colors. Nice for a party or just to look at. They stayed lit a long time well into the night. As far as using them to light the pool itself they really are not that functionable for that you would need a lot of them. I would recomend them we liked them and they did light up a little. And as I stated before they are pretty floating around."

Perfect gift for someone with everything,

Pros: These inexpensive pool lights don't need batteries and are really beautiful.
Cons: After 3-4 years may need replacing.
"I sent these to my 80 year old father who literally has everything he needs, for his birthday a few years ago. I called him after he put them in his pool and he raved about how he awaoe in the middle of the night and looked out his window and saw the pool all lit up in beautiful colors from the lights. He sounded like a happy little boy on Christmas morning. Much to my surprise he was thrilled at the inexpensive gift lights I had sent. 2 years later he called me and asked me if I could send him a few more, he liked them so much, so I did. I also sent him 2 more for CHristmas this year and he will get them in a few weeks and be sooooo happy. How can I go wrong? Father was never this happy about any gifts I had ever sent, in all the years I have known him. I am grateful to have found them."

Awful Product,

Pros: NONE
Cons: LIGHT IS SO DIM YOU CAN SEE IT
"This is a terrible product to advertise for a pool. The charge only holds for about 4 hours if that long. The lights are so dim you can hardly see them. These might work well in a small bathtub, however, I can't see them even working well in a hot tub. Don't buy this product. In The Swim was great to give me my money back."

Pros: It has light.
Cons: The direction of the light is sideways which benefits no one.
"Do not waste your money. I was so disappointed in the light. I kept thinking as it got darker it would look better. Lousy effects."

floating light fiasco,
Date:April 29, 2008
By ptxwolf

Pros: look good
Cons: batteries become dislodged
"These lights look good, but with any impact, the batteries become dislodged. There is a space inside between the battery compartment and the outside housing & there is nothing to hold them in place. You have to open the lights to reinstall the batteries, but then the seal is compromised and water can seep in.
If you have these & have to open them up, tape the batteries in place or put a piece of sponge to hold the batteries in place, and then use some clear silicone caulk to seal the light again. (I learned the hard way & wrote to the manufacturer.)

Junk,

Pros: Cute
Cons: Don't give off much light.
"Don't give off much light. The plastic has turned yellow therefore the light emission is even less. Of the four I purchased, one light only lasts about 15 minutes, on one the solar collector has detached itself and will not charge.
Cannot leave in the pool because of size. It will get sucked into the skimmer.

Pros: Fun, Great Changing Lights
Cons: None; Need larger ones!
"I've purchased quite a few of these over several years. I have them in my yard & have given them as gifts. I leave mine out in the winter, with rain, snow and freezing weather. They even have water inside, but keep right on glowing! I love being able to look out to my back yard and see the beautiful changing colors.Thank you! Wish they came in larger sizes too! Oregonian"

By Poolbabe
Pros: Neat light effect, takes no batteries
Cons: Takes quite a few to light up pool, small enough to go into skimmer

Love the solar lights,
Date:August 22, 2007
By Sally
Pros: They light up every night and look great. Our neighbors and friends love the cool color changes.
Cons: They get stuck in the skimmer & don't light if it's a cloudy day.
"Love these lights--they look great on the deck, tables, on the side of the pool, in the pool. My kids toss them and skip them across the pool when swimming at night and so far they have held up. My only question is how to store them for winter without burning out the battery since it can't be changed. I haven't had any cracks or water issues yet--they are pretty sturdy. I like the solar aspect best so I don't have to keep changing the batteries. They stay lit for several hours when they receive a full day of sun."

Pros: Beautiful color-changing lights, last all night
Cons: Can leak and sink to the bottom of the pool
"I got four of these lights and they are awesome on the deck to help with lighting around the steps but are not very good in the water. Two of them leak and sink so I just keep them up on the deck. Got alot of oohs and aahs on the fourth of July about them."

Pros: run on solar power
Cons: dont go under water
"Got these for my Dads pond and they love them. They say the colors are beautiful at night and they really show off the pond at night. They have also used them on the table outside and in there garden because they can look at them when they get up in the morning and its still dark and watch them."
