Zeobrite sand pool filter media cleans pool water much better than regular pool filter sand. Each granule of Zeobrite has countless tiny pockets to trap dirt 10 smaller than sand can.

"Replaced our sand last year after could not get water clear and after using zeo sand pool was clear all of last year. NOT so this year. I used the zeo filter cleaner as directed and water will not get clear. Last year when first replaced it was crystal clear, this year I can see the bottom but that is as good as it gets, I am looking thru cloudy water. Not too expensive but do not want to have to empty sand EVERY year. Just bought the bio-dex clarifier 500 and hope it works....."

Pros: So far I've been using zeobrite sand for 4 days and it has already helped make my water crystal clear.
Cons: I've had no problems with this product as of yet but have only been using it for 4 days and hoping it keeps going good
"Been using product for 4 days and has made my water crystal clear and seems to have really helped when cleaning up the pool so far. The articals I've read about it clouding up the pool I believe is from not following the instructions for installing the zeobrite and backwashing until water is clear. I've had no complaints. Went home for lunch today and wife was vacuuming the pool and she even said it seemed to be working better. Of course we bought the house a couple of years ago and there was no telling when the last time the sand had been changed to start with. I would recommend this product but of course this is the first time I've changed sand in a filter since I was a kid and helped my dad with our pool."

"We had to buy a new pump this year because our other one quit working. We used this sand in it instead of the regular kind that we've used in years past. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It is hard to get the pool clean and keep it that way. We will be dumping this sand out and replacing it with the regular stuff! Tired of vacuuming constantly and buying chemicals!"

"Have been fighting cloudy water for a couple weeks and finally determined that the sand in my filter just wasn't working as it should so I bought a few bags of Zeo. After only 1 night of running the filter I am happy to report that the water is crystal clear now. I do have a small pool (18 ft round )with a main drain and I'm sure that helped speed up the water clarity,

Pros: Clear water, less backwashing & use half the chemicals
"I've used this product for 5 years. My pool is cleaner, uses half the chemicals and I backwash half as much. I live in a very dry, windy climate with lots of blowing dirt and my pool is right next to two very large trees. The zeobrite keeps my pool crystal clear all the time and my 8 year old pool equipment just hums along beautifully! When I used sand in my filter, I had to replace it yearly and backwash at least twice a week. My pool was cloudy all the time."

"Yes, the product is very dusy at first. Backwash a lot before you run water through pool. We didn't quite have all the dust out before running pool, but it cleared QUICKLY. 2 days to sparkling water at startup this year! We use less chemicals and vac and backwash less often than last year as well! I would HIGHLY recommend this product! <3!"

"For filtering, I can't really tell the difference from regular sand. My pool is clear so it must be working.
However, there is a lot of dust. I backwashed until clear before using, but I still ended up with quite a bit in the bottom of my pool. It's extremely fine and disburses with the slightest current. Vacuuming followed by immediate backwash seems to help, though."

"This sand was not compatible with my filter and it blew all 100#'s into the bottom of my pool. Don't waste your time and money on this product. I would do some serious research before putting anything into your filter that is not specifically recommended by the manufacturer."

"This brought new life to my sand filter. The water is clear, I back wash about less than half as much. Lower operating pressure allows vacuum to run better and less work on the pump.
