Money very well spent!!,

Pros: Fast, Efficient, Easy to Handle, Turn on and let it go
Cons: Filter Bag doesn't last long and starts becomes very ragged very rapidly once a hole appears.
"I absolutely love my Pool Rover T Automatic Pool Cleaner and don't know how I ever managed without it! My one and only complaint is the filter bag. Although it is very simple to take off and put back on and really easy to clean, it doesn't last very long. Otherwise, I am 100 percent satisfied with everything about the Pool Rover T and would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat! Love, Love, Love it!!"

Great Pool Cleaner,

Pros: Easy to use and keeps pool sparkling clean. It also bypasses the filter system so backwashing is required as often.
Cons: Finding a replacement bag. Weighs quite a bit when full of water. Cord is not quite long enough for a 27' dia pool.
"Squirrels chewed original bag while drying. Hard to find replacement. Found what thought was replacement, but the unit doesn't work properly. It's also several years old and definitely worth the money, especially with the EZ Pay plan."

Pros: none that I can think of....................................
Cons: doesn't clean worth a darn, costs too much............................
"I read the reviews and bought this, despite the hefty price, hoping I would finally find a cleaner that actually worked. You know the axiom, you get what you pay for. Well, not here. The cleaner started running, just as described, when put in the pool. It does pick up some stuff, but after the cycle is complete, the pool is still dirty. So, I ran the cycle again, swithing the peg as instructed and cleaning out the bag each time. Four cycles later, guess what? The pool is still dirty. I'm returning this to InTheSwim as soon as I can for a refund."

Best purchase ever made,

Pros: Easy to use, picks up small particles
Cons: Have to clean the bag frequently for dirtier pools
"I just purchased this within the past week and it is absolutely amazing how clean this thing really helped get my pool. As much as I'm ashamed to say, my pool was beyond dirty (due to our cover tearing from a strong wind). When I started this season, it was dark green and I thought we'd have to empty and refill but was I wrong. Even though it took quite a few times of empting and cleaning the bag included, it worked wonders getting the gunk out from the pool floor. After a day of doing this our pool floor is clean and actually swimmable. This thing is well worth the price."

Very Pleased,

"This was well worth the purchase. I have used the Baracuda and Polaris cleaners in the past and the Aquabot Rover is definitely the best so far. I have had it approximately one month. No problems at all. It runs it two hour cleaning cycle and my pool is cleaned (oblong above ground pool). I run the cleaner about every two to three days. When it is done, I change the peg on the cleaner to change the cleaning cycle next time, remove the filter bag and clean it out. Very simple. I am so pleased and relieved to have a cleaner that works."

Pros: Ease of operation
Cons: none so far
"My previous experience with automatic cleaners (had to return 3 times before getting one that worked) had me skeptical. Within minutes of my cleaners arrival (less than 24 hours from when I placed the order!) it was in the pool working. So far I couldn't be happier. It's easy to use, my formerly filthy pool looks great, and this one doesn't get stuck on the bottom center drain like my last one did. I am reallly pleased with this purchase!"

Pros: Quick and easy to use
Cons: the cord sometimes gets tangled and the bag cleanup
"I love my new vacuum! I think it is positively the best invention for pools. It does all the work for you, and the hours I use to spend on the pool cleaning. I now can spend with my family. It was way too hard dealing with the old unit of getting the air out of the lines and dealing with the filter clogging. This can be operated by one user with no problem. the one small con is having to really spray the bag down with a strong hose, to make sure all of the debris gets cleared away. Other than that I LOVE IT!!!"

Disappointed,

Pros: Does not use your pool filter
Cons: Does not pick up small particles of dirt
"We purchased this cleaner to replace our Aquabug by Hayward that we had for 3 years and it just seemed to not be working as well as it use to. I wanted something that would not use my pool filter and this didn't. At first I thought this cleaner was great. I had it up in running in my pool within 15 minutes. It ran for 2 hours and my pool looked clean, so I took it out, cleaned it up, and put it away. An hour later I checked my pool and it was just as dirty as before I put the cleaner in my pool. Apparently the cleaner just hits the dirt and it disperses in the pool once the water settles down the dirt settles back on the bottom. What a disappointment. I am returning this cleaner and will try something else."

Dissapointed,

Cons: Does not pick up fine dirt, requires bag cleaning multiple times per normal cycle
"This pool cleaner uses water propulsion to move around, and does not have any sensors in the cleaner itself, Only a timer in the power unit. As such, you have to set the amount of time it takes the cleaner to move across your pool. The rub is that as the bag becomer dirty, the cleaner no longer has the 'thrust' it had when the timer was set. This causes the cleaner to stop and reverse direction after covering only 1/2 the width of the pool. Additionally, it did not pick up any of the fine dirt that is normal in a Pool in Arizona. I am glad In the Swim is so good with Returns. Time to try a different unit."

BUYER BEWARE!!!!,

Pros: Probably good for pools that are hospital clean.
Cons: Definitely not good for cleaning dirty pools.
"I have a cheap Intex 18' X 48" round above ground pool and this robotic cleaner cost more than the pool itself, but I bought it because I cannot keep leaves and dirt out of my pool and the pump operated cleaner that came with the pool performs very poorly and clogs frequently. This robotic cleaner does not perform much better. It made about 4 passes in my pool before it stopped moving and I had to clean out the bag. I have had to continue to do this about every four passes it makes. The manual mentions an "Optional" mesh type bag sold separately of course for cleaning leaves, pine needles, twigs, algae, etc., that will not clog so frequently, but makes no mention of how to order. I cannot find the product on the intheswim.com website either. Further, it's only a matter of time before the wire/plastic frame for the bag breaks - it's made very flimsily and the tight fitting bag places stress on the frame when you put it back on. Hopefully, after a full day of cleaning the bag repeatedly to keep the cleaner going, my pool will be clean again and the cleaner will work a little easier, but I am definitely disappointed."

Pros: CLEANS EVERYTHING

"Love our new pool cleaner - it cleans or pool thoroughly in a few hours - even little bits of sand and big leaves. The filter bag is easy to clean. We put it in our pool once a week and its great. We use less chemicals now since our pool is cleaner than it ever has been without the hassle. Totally recommend this product"

Great pool cleaner,
Date:July 9, 2008
By SantaRosa
Pros: works great, quiet.
Cons: cord tangles a bit, can tip over in a rounded bottom pool, heavy removing from pool, filter bag is a pain to clean.
"All in all I really like this cleaner, drop it in and let it go. It picks up the smallest particles along with the larger things like leaves and pine needles. My pool is a 12X22 above ground with a bottom that has rounded areas going up the sides. The cleaner has a tendency to tip over if it gets at a drastic angle, but it is easy enough to flip back on it's wheels. It occassionally gets caught on the ladder, but easy to move. It is heavy because it is full of water, so when removing it from the pool it is a bit cumbersome. I LOVE the fact that it is quiet, I hate that clicking noise that our old vacumes made. The filter bag is sort of a pain, I usually use a bucket of water along with the hose to rinse and spray it clean. Getting the bag out is very easy though, so that makes up for the pain of cleaning the actual bag . The cord tends to twist, but it is easily untwisted, so I don't mind dealing with that. I figure no cleaner is without it's problems, I like this one far better than the other two types I have had in the past, the pool water looks great when I am done cleaning. 2 thumbs up in my book!"

Best Purchase Ever!!,

Pros: So Easy - Just plug in, drop in pool and forget about it!
Cons: Expensive - & the multiple times you have to clean the bag
"Even though the Rover is pricey, I think I've already made up the cost in the time it was taking me to clean my 28 ft. round pool. Living in WI in the country, we had a 3 inch thick layer of leaves in our pool and algae and debris from last fall & winter (our cover blew off) & even though it took multiple cleanings of the bag, the Rover removed everything. I've never had good suction using my filter/vacuuming system & this product is a livesaver. It's actually fun to watch. What a way to clean the pool...sit on the deck and enjoy a drink and watch it! Technology is great. It picked up not only huge amount of leaves, debris, algae, sticks, sand, but even parts of a broken thermometer that we didn't even realize were in there. I had my pool opened for the season in three days. From a green cespool to clear water and a clear bottom. It even cleaned in the couple of footprint crevices we have at the bottom of the pool. If you're frustated with the above ground pool vacuuming gadgets out there and sick and tired of having to haul everything out to use your filtration system for vacuuming.....this is the best investment you'll ever make for your pool!! Highly recommended!!"

Save Your Money,

Pros: Operates Independently
Cons: Unable to clean as advertised
"I purchased my Pool Rover T thinking this is a great solution to keeping my above ground pool clean. After reading all the instructions I placed the cleaner in my pool and was impressed to see how quickly it zipped across the bottom. My initial thought was wow I have a winner here. I was very disappointed after returning to my pool only to find that little to no cleaning had been completed. The unit either does not produced enough suction, or is simply set too high from the surface of the pool. I just simply does not work, and the manufacture should have been aware of these limitations, I’m so glad that In The Swim has a 30 day return policy otherwise I would have spent a lot of money for a neat to watch toy. I need a product like this one that will actually work!"

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!,

Pros: Filters the water, very quiet
Cons: Clogs fast, doesn't perform as well as it says it will
"This thing boasts the ability to pick up large debris such as leaves & acorns....which it does. But once you have 5 leaves in it, you will need to stop, tear it apart, hose out the filter bag and start all over. I do like the fact that it also filters the water and I imagine that once spring clean up is done, it will be nice for that feature. But if you're trying to get your pool up & running and think this machine is the answer, think again!
There is supposed to be an optional mesh bag for the large debris, but nobody seems to carry it & some authorized dealers haven't even HEARD of it! So in the meantime, the small particle filtration bag that comes with it, is all you have to work with...and it does NOT do the job as well as it should.
So....if you're hoping to do spring or fall clean up fast & easy, save your money. This thing is far too over priced for it's level of performance. I spent $23 and got the "Leaf Gulper" and was done with my pool in 20 minutes after messing with this thing for a week!"
