waste of money,

Pros: light weight, extra overhang
Cons: tore up after one year
"i bought this last year for the extra overhang and durability. thought it was real nice last year then went to use it this year and water is seeping up from the underneath as it is full of holes. we already dumped our chemicals in and disconnected the pump and as we live in the country we don't want to take the cover off and send it back and have a wait process with the pool uncovered for a replacement. also, my warranty says to send it back to the manufacturer so i called them and they were very rude. i had sent a solar cover back before and only had to mail a section but they want the whole cover shipped back to them which my pool would end up filthy in the process and i would probably have to hook my pump up again and re-treat. i may as well bought the cheapest they make for this quality."

Disappointing,
September 3, 2009
By Hilde

Pros: Grommets & Binding held up well
Cons: Seams are NOT sewn and just peeled apart in mant spots
"Bought W7045 for a 30 " round pool. This spring when we took the cover off, there was a 3 ft split in a seam. Decided to try to repair it myself since shipping costs were out of our financial capabilities. When we took out the cover to winterize this weekend there were more splits on different seams. Seams should be sewn, the heat process/glue technique was not sufficient."

"I was very disappointed with this cover. I only got 2 winter uses out of it. My husband works in the pool industry and was not very pleased with the very limited use we got out of this product. Don't waste your money on this particular cover."

2nd worse cover I ever bought,

Pros: stayed on all winter
Cons: had wear holes from rubbing the rim of pool
"What ever happened to good quality pool covers? The one I bought in 2007/2008 literally fell apart & the one I bought in 2008/2009 had wear holes in it around the rim of the pool! And the prices keep going up. Not sure what I will try this coming winter..."

Don't buy this cover,
June 2, 2009
By KathyS
|
"Do not buy this cover. I had purchased several covers from you over the years, always the best warrantied ones. Last year I thought I would try this cover, expecting it to last at least half as long as the better covers. I had no complaints over the winter and there was no evidence of seepage in the spring. But, imagine my surprise when I lifted an edge of the cover in April to check the condition of the water, and found sunlight!, yes, sunlight! pouring through the cover and dappling the water. For the first time in years my water was so opaque, I couldn't see the bottom even with a flashlight and there was some slime around the skimmer. I read bad reviews before I bought it, but couldn't believe it could be that bad when the better covers were always so satisfactory. Never again."

By momof5boys

Pros: easy to put on, cable easy to use, large enough to cover well
Cons: Has lots of grommets, but could use even a few more.
"We put this cover on before winter hit and so far it is holding up well. We get a lot of wind where we live and it is still on."

Pros: Strong and durable
Cons: Stringing of cable a little time consuming
"Excellent cover for the money. Also ordered the wrap to keep cover from lifting during windy days and works very well. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to keep a tight and secure cover."

Pros: Seems like a strong cover.
Cons: Not as much overhang as I thought.
"This cover seems like a quite strong and durable cover. There was not quite as much overhang as I thought there would be, but it is plenty. The clips are great and I recommend using them. I'll see how it performs after this winter."

Pros: binding around edge seems good
Cons: no four foot overhang. barely covered the pool.
"received cover and put it on the pool. was suppose to have a four foot overhang, did not. barely covered the pool. the cable that came with it to tie it down was about 5 feet short. so had to improvise. don't have time to return it and wait for a new one. not impressed especially for the warranty that came with it. next time will shop around more."

Won't last through one winter,

By MelissaB

Pros: Cheap!
Cons: Rips and Tears !
"The first year I purchased this pool cover it ripped and tore within 2 months of putting the cover on. In the spring, we removed the cover and I sent a large piece back in order to get a replacement cover through the warranty. I just assumed it was a manufacturing defect. In The Swim send me a new one, and the exact same thing happened the next year! Will definately switch brands this year."

Pros: Easy install
Cons: Lasted three years - keep it
"This cover was purchased in 2004/2005 Winter season and lasted into 2007/2008. New York had a Mild Winter and in year three it ripped. It's a good buy if you want to replace a cover every three years."
