"Pennsylvania has some pretty rough winters and when spring is in the air we start checking out the pool.We always have surface water from rain and melted snow but thank heavens the cover hasn't leaked. We have had our pool 15 years and have just purchased our 2nd cover.Thank heavens there are still a few things that work."

Poor Quality,
July 20, 2009
By Vargas
from Portland, Oregon
|
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor durability
"Pool cover lasted only 2 years before it failed and developed holes. When I uncovered my pool it was a green mess. I contacted In the Swim regarding the warranty. After sending it a sample of cover, I was quickly given full credit for a new one. I would recommend the 15 year cover or better as it seems to get the better reviews...."

GREAT & SO EASY TO PUT ON.THIS IS A GREAT PRICE,
July 18, 2009
By judycarol
from MAYFIELD, KY.
|
Pros: CHEAP, EASY, LAST, GREAT PRODUCT
Cons: I HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT IT.
"WE ORDERED THIS COVER LAST YEAR AND IT HAS REALLY BEEN WORTH THE MONEY. IT WAS SO EASY TO PUT ON AND IT STAYED ON THROUGH STRONG WINDS, ICE, AND SNOW. WE WILL BE USING IT AGAIN THIS YEAR. THE WATER WAS CRYSTAL BLUE WHEN WE TOOK THE COVER OFF IN THE SPRING. THIS IS JUST A GREAT ALL-AROUND PRODUCT. WORTH MORE THAN YOU PAY."

Cons: Doesn't last, desinigrated into my pool
"Do NOT buy this pool cover! I have owned two in 3 years...the first one ripped after one winter, which they replaced under warrenty, and now the second one ripped and desinigrated into my pool, of which I have a horrible sediment mess!"

Low Quality Cover,
May 8, 2009
By DebK
|
Pros: Price
Cons: Flimsy material
"This cover tore at rim of the pool. But the worst thing about it is that when we pulled the cover we saw black specs all over bottom of pool. The underside of the cover had come apart and left us a nice mess to clean to begin the season. Pretty much negates the purpose of a cover. Worst cover we ever purchased. 8 yr guarantee? Don't think so."

NO 8 years!,
April 23, 2009
By Johnnie
from Oklahoma
|
Pros: Cheep
Cons: not durable
"This cover had holes in it before it was a month old. This thing will not last 2 years much less 8 years. I was looking to cover my pool for the winter but this thing is a joke. Yes the main part of the pool is covered but there are a lot of holes around the edges that range in size up to about 2 feet long. The clips that come with this are a great idea I thought but they won't stay on either in the wind. Looking for better suggestions for next winter let me know!"

Winter Cover,
December 14, 2008
By moms4kids2003
from Saint Joseph, MO
|
Pros: This cover is efficient and does the job well. My pool stairs blew ontop of the cover and the cover supported well.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say about this cover
"We received this item in a very timely manner and it was just as the ad said. It is a strong cover and didn't tear or give when our stairs blew on top of it. It was easy to install and very secure. I would recommend this cover to anyone."

So Far So Good,
December 14, 2008
By Lovetoswim
from Mesa, AZ
|
"This is the first winter I have had my pool for the winter. So far the cover is holding well. Most wouldn't be concerned with the sun and heat getting to it, thankfully I won't have to worry about the ice or snow. The above ground style of pool that we have is didn't allow the clips to be useful but we were able to find an easy way to use some nylon string. I will be able to tell more when we are ready to open in the spring."

Best Cover for length,
December 2, 2008
By LoriDor
from Lowell, Massachusetts
|
Pros: extra length
Cons: light weight but a cover never lasts 20 years anyway!
"I bought this cover for the extra 4 foot length and width. I have already gone through two covers in less than 6 years, purchased from a local store and they barley make it around the pool and my clips have always fallen off. In the Swim has a new customer...I will tell everyone I know about this supplier."

Great Deal!,
November 28, 2008
By Dealfinder
from Pennsylvania
|
Pros: Easy ordering, fast delivery, great deal for the price.
Cons: Was not impressed by the thickness of the cover.
"We needed a new cover to replace our old worn out original pool cover. In The Swim was the best price, easiest ordering and fastest shipping. Our local pool store was charging three times as much for the same size cover! I was very impressed with our first purchase, and plan to continue buying from In The Swim. I felt the cover may be a little thin, but it does not matter as long as it lasts for the 8 years."

Pros: Fast, Easy, Saves Time and Money
Cons: None That I Can Think Of
"I ordered this cover on a Sunday and had it on Tuesday and it was cheaper than the local stores. I will never buy from a local Pool Store again for anything. In-The-Swim is bar far the best value anywhere!"

Very Nice Cover,
November 26, 2008
By ScottPG999
from Omaha, NE
|
Pros: Easy to install, Does the job and then some
Cons: None
"Living in the Midwest (Omaha) we get some very harsh winters. I have found this particular cover to work great in our environment. It is very easy to install and has done a great job for us for the past several years in terms of keeping leaves and debris out of our pool during the winter months. From the time we put it on in early October to the time we take it off in early May, this cover does everything we expected and more."

Good cover for the $$$,
November 26, 2008
By Anonymous
from NW Indiana
|
Pros: Nice cable to cinch it down
Cons: Could be a little more oversize
"I bought the 24' cover but my pool has a handmade rail attached to the top rail at the upright supports. The rail makes it hard to get the cover around and a cover with more drop wouldn't pull as tight.
I live in the open and the wind kills a cover a year anyway so I just buy the lower priced ones and replace it yearly.
Consider the next level up cover if you need more drop."

Don't buy this cover,
October 3, 2008
By glmm
from Cleveland
|
Pros: none
Cons: does not hold up, waste of money
"like the other reviews, I had the same problem. The cover held up the first winter, but the second Winter, the gunk on top of the cover seeped through to the pool water and then the cover tore when we were removing the cover. We ended up draining the pool entirely and cleaning the algae from the liner. Our pool is an 18' round. Don't waste your money on this cover."
