Not the best but not the worst,

Pros: company stands by warranty**************************
Cons: not close to 8 years gotten*********************************
"Our cover had an 8 year warranty for this product number.(now it is 10) It lasted 3 seasons. But it is now shredded in the middle. So I guess we paid $80 for it and get $40 credit (prorated after 2 years) so it cost us $13.33 a year which I guess is not bad."

Pros: A lot of overlap as stated>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Cons: Poor Made>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"Just removed the cover from our pool and our pool is awful. This cover allowed junk to go through. The cover was ripping apart as we pulled it up. Needless to say this was a waste of money now we have a lot of work getting our pool clean. Do not buy!!!!"

Horrible Product,

By kjpny

from Rochester, NY
Pros: Wasn't too expensive, easy to install, that's the only positives I could come up with.
Cons: Cheaply made. only lasted 2 weeks, split along the seam in very mild weather, not durable at all.
"Over the last 2 years, I've bought my pool chemicals here and have had great luck and success. So this year I decided to buy a replacement winter cover here. Boy, was that a mistake!!! This cover only lasted 2 weeks before the seam split in the middle of the cover. Over those 2 weeks, the weather has been very mild and calm (we can have some very windy days here) so there is no way the weather was a contributing factor. I guess I'm lucky the cover ripped now instead of in the middle of winter when it'd be much more difficult to replace. Don't waste your money with this product!!! I will continue to buy my chemicals here but will NEVER buy anything else."

Zero Stars,

Pros: The price appreared to be a pro, but what we saved in dollars we more than paid for later in time and frustration.
Cons: Poorly made, weak, ineffective, short-lasting, time intensive
"We purchased this cover in the Fall of 2010. Thanks to this cover, we've had the worst spring opening ever! We knew we were in for it when we could see the holes from the deck of the house before the winter was half over. After the large amounts of snow we had, there was NOTHING on the cover to pump off this spring. All of the melted snow, ice, and debris were in the pool. The bottom looked like mud. Thank God we have virtually no trees in our neighborhood, or I can't imagine how much worse it would be. We have been shocking, vacuuming, clarifying, vacuuming, super flocing, vacuuming, vacuuming, vacuuming... for over a week and are just now starting to reclaim the pool that we usually have immediately after removing the cover. We will NOT purchase this cover again, as it lasted less than one winter and was completely useless. We will be returning what's left of it with the hope that we can get credit to apply toward something better. Run from this cover!"

Not worth it,

Cons: Rips at seams
"We purchased the Pro Strength Polar above ground pool cover in September 09 and put it on to cover our pool for this winter. One of the seams have seperated (about a 3 ft section) and has allowed water and leaves to drop into our pool. Lots of good this purchase has done."

Poor Quality,

Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor durability
"Pool cover lasted only 2 years before it failed and developed holes. When I uncovered my pool it was a green mess. I contacted In the Swim regarding the warranty. After sending it a sample of cover, I was quickly given full credit for a new one. I would recommend the 15 year cover or better as it seems to get the better reviews...."

Pros: CHEAP, EASY, LAST, GREAT PRODUCT
Cons: I HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT IT.
"WE ORDERED THIS COVER LAST YEAR AND IT HAS REALLY BEEN WORTH THE MONEY. IT WAS SO EASY TO PUT ON AND IT STAYED ON THROUGH STRONG WINDS, ICE, AND SNOW. WE WILL BE USING IT AGAIN THIS YEAR. THE WATER WAS CRYSTAL BLUE WHEN WE TOOK THE COVER OFF IN THE SPRING. THIS IS JUST A GREAT ALL-AROUND PRODUCT. WORTH MORE THAN YOU PAY."

Low Quality Cover,
Date:May 8, 2009
By DebK
Pros: Price
Cons: Flimsy material
"This cover tore at rim of the pool. But the worst thing about it is that when we pulled the cover we saw black specs all over bottom of pool. The underside of the cover had come apart and left us a nice mess to clean to begin the season. Pretty much negates the purpose of a cover. Worst cover we ever purchased. 8 yr guarantee? Don't think so."

NO 8 years!,

By Johnnie

from Oklahoma
Pros: Cheep
Cons: not durable
"This cover had holes in it before it was a month old. This thing will not last 2 years much less 8 years. I was looking to cover my pool for the winter but this thing is a joke. Yes the main part of the pool is covered but there are a lot of holes around the edges that range in size up to about 2 feet long. The clips that come with this are a great idea I thought but they won't stay on either in the wind. Looking for better suggestions for next winter let me know!"

Pros: This cover is efficient and does the job well. My pool stairs blew ontop of the cover and the cover supported well.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say about this cover
"We received this item in a very timely manner and it was just as the ad said. It is a strong cover and didn't tear or give when our stairs blew on top of it. It was easy to install and very secure. I would recommend this cover to anyone."

So Far So Good,

By Lovetoswim

from Mesa, AZ
"This is the first winter I have had my pool for the winter. So far the cover is holding well. Most wouldn't be concerned with the sun and heat getting to it, thankfully I won't have to worry about the ice or snow. The above ground style of pool that we have is didn't allow the clips to be useful but we were able to find an easy way to use some nylon string. I will be able to tell more when we are ready to open in the spring."

Best Cover for length,
Date:December 2, 2008
By LoriDor
from Lowell, Massachusetts
from Lowell, Massachusetts
Pros: extra length
Cons: light weight but a cover never lasts 20 years anyway!
"I bought this cover for the extra 4 foot length and width. I have already gone through two covers in less than 6 years, purchased from a local store and they barley make it around the pool and my clips have always fallen off.
In the Swim has a new customer...I will tell everyone I know about this supplier.

Pros: Easy ordering, fast delivery, great deal for the price.
Cons: Was not impressed by the thickness of the cover.
"We needed a new cover to replace our old worn out original pool cover. In The Swim was the best price, easiest ordering and fastest shipping. Our local pool store was charging three times as much for the same size cover! I was very impressed with our first purchase, and plan to continue buying from In The Swim. I felt the cover may be a little thin, but it does not matter as long as it lasts for the 8 years."

Very Nice Cover,

from Omaha, NE
Pros: Easy to install, Does the job and then some
Cons: None
"Living in the Midwest (Omaha) we get some very harsh winters. I have found this particular cover to work great in our environment. It is very easy to install and has done a great job for us for the past several years in terms of keeping leaves and debris out of our pool during the winter months. From the time we put it on in early October to the time we take it off in early May, this cover does everything we expected and more."
