Pros: This is a low cost cleaner and you can get a rebate too
Cons: Everything else about this pool cleaner. Spend the money to get a real cleaner
"I needed a new cleaner and this one was low cost and I mistakenly let that sway me. The rebate makes it even cheaper. In this case cheaper is what you get. I have a cement pool and this cleaner does not run well at all. It does not attach to a dedicated cleaner line suction port. The hose is a large opening and only fits into the skimmer. Lots of parts and adapters to use on the skimmer line. There is not a lot of power and an adjuster that does not adjust anything, it continually gets stuck, does not reverse itself until after ten minutes in one spot, it does not clean well in general. It has no filter or cartridge to collect debris before it hits the filter and the cleaning path is about 1 inch wide.
Don't try to go cheap as you will regret it as I did."

"Purchased this couple of years ago, worked well first year then it stoped couldnt figure out the problem till I found a rock stuck in the hose, then it was ok again. You have to clean the hair from the impellors and adjust water flow once in a wile,like once or twice a month.then it stoped working tward the end of second season again, it just sat on bottom and spun in circles. Took it apart found a busted spring in the return gear of wheel dissengager, a part that readily comes off the gear box without taking the gear box apart and yet Im told its part of the gear box so I have to buy the whole thing and that cost just as much as a new cleaner. its an ok cleaner if you dont mind it lasting only 2 or 3 seasons. never had to scrub the pool by hand when it worked. I may buy the same one to replace it at least Ill have some spare parts for the new one."

"Have an inground gunite pool. After 7 years of Kreepy Krauly cleaning it spotless, we had to finally, (after some surgery to it), get a new cleaner. We decided to buy the ATV. Good looking, yes, but what a lame duck! Save your money, this one is totally overpriced, it doesn't pick up dirt and leaves, it doesn't do stairs and it's overall too slow. I've now wasted my precious time constantly scrubbibg the pool, for the past 1,5 years. Next cleaner will be a Kreepy!"

"I used this product one time with only less than fair results. The next week when I set it on the bottom of the pool and hooked it up, it wouldn't even budge! I am unable to use it now and am going to return it and buy a manual vacuum head."

Pros: Amazing piece of equipment
"This Polaris ATV replaced a Shark that we had for 4 years. The Shark kept needing replacement parts forcing us to buy a new sweeper. My pool man recommended this particular one and it is amazing. It is quick and there is never any debris on the bottom of the pool. It makes it's rounds 5-6 times in the pool pumping cycle. I would definately buy this product again. It keeps my Border Collie fascinated too."

"This little atv polaris is the best I dont have to stand in the hot sun sweeting any more it cleans the pool all by its self i can cleaning my house mow my grass and also go to the store and when i get to the pool it all clean and it looks like a million bucks this is a house wife dream it saves you a lot of time to do other thing with the kids."

"I used a vacum to clean my in-ground pool for many years Two main problems: Took too long and never looked good when finished. The Polaris has made cleaning the pool almost fun. Takes about five minutes to hook it up and then you can sit back and enjoy the day or do something else. After a couple of hours you return and the pool looks terrific."
